If you go to Newport, you have to do the Cliff Walk. It is a couple of miles long and passes by many of the great Newport Mansions. You can take (leashed) dogs and there are a number of places to park and enter the path. It has a great view of the ocean and on stormy days, it is... More

I was there with family in July 2016. The summers of Newport is the best time to go there. No doubt, it is a pretty long walk, not arduous though. But the scenic beauty of this place is what will keep you engaged. One side of the walk has vast blue picture perfect ocean and other side has equally wonderful... More

It’s a nice walk with plenty of outstanding sights. Not a hard walk, but can be long if you park and walk out and back.

Cliff Walk is a most interesting trek. It can be crowded on weekends but worth every step. North to south or vice-versa, it does not matter. Plan to use a cab or Uber if you don't want to reverse direction or return via Bellevue Avenue, another great walk.

This scenic walk is easy to do. Great view of the ocean, the back of beautiful mansions . A few benches along the way, and great areas for photos .

Just be prepared for weather conditions. Bring water, there are no places to stop along the way. Don't forget your camera. There are amazing ocean views and you see the mansions from the opposite view.

Stunning views along Newport's Cliff Walk! Enjoy the view and exercise. Better, of course, in good weather - dress appropriately. Great thing to do when in Newport!

Great experience. Amazing. Don't leave Newport without walking along the cliffs. Beautiful part of the country in the spring, summer, and fall. A lot to see in the area.

Cliff Walk is one of those things that you MUST do when visiting Newport. Its easy walking that exposes you to the best views of the ocean and cliffs, as well as feeding that voyeuristic urge to peer into the back yards of the SUPER WEALTHY, whether they are famous or not. I combined my Cliff Walk hike with my... More
