Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Much more interesting coming here as opposed to those cold HUGE places in town. This is a place you can relate to, as more happened here that affected us. Can picture Jackie riding on that BIG motorized window that overlooks the ocean. This home while NOT down to earth, shows an ego more in control.

On our Coastal Queen cruise, we had great views of Hammersmith Farm, best known as the location of President Kennedy’s wedding reception after his marriage to Jackie. We knew it was there and had tried to view it from the road, but it is completely hidden from view on the land side.
Hammersmith Farm was owned by of Hugh D. Auchincloss (1897–1976), Jacqueline Kennedy's stepfather. It is a Victorian mansion and estate located at 225 Harrison Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. Hammersmith Farm was a childhood home of First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, and the site of the reception for her wedding to U.S. Senator John F. Kennedy in September 1953 (with 1,200 guests).
Hammersmith Farm's 28-room main house was built in 1887 for John W. Auchincloss, the uncle of Jacqueline Kennedy's stepfather. After being sold by Jacquline Kennedy’s mother to a group of investors in 1977, it was not loved in for over 25 years. It is currently owned by banker Peter Kiernan, of Goldman Sachs who carried out extensive restorative works. And it is once again a family vacation home.
