It's a nice little shopping area. Loved the Seashells in Bloom store...such artistic work! Check it out! Lobster Bar is there too, which is yummy and a great place to visit even if you don't like seafood. They have some gigantic lobsters there!

Nice place to walk around near the water. Some good restaurants and interesting shops, dock for a sailing cruise and nice view of the harbor. One major problem is the parking at Bowen's - $6 an hour with no sign as you enter telling you...More

We walked around this area and did some souvenir shopping - great selections of various kinds of food, snacks, clothing, knick-knacks. Anchor Toffee offered free samples and we had to buy some.

What a cute area. Lots of restaurants and bars. Cute shops to walk around and look into. Freshly baked cookies at the cookie shop and nice art galleries as well. Good way to spend several hours if you are in the area.

It’s one of the most famous spots in Newport for a reason — along with adjacent Bannister’s Wharf, Bowen’s is a one-of-a-kind place for shopping, dining, and people-watching. Given that it’s right on the water, it makes sense that you feel connected to the sea...More

This is the place where you'll find all your shops, restaurants and bars. Easy walking distance to hotels and easy to get around.

Beautiful place to spend time. Many shops, galleries, coffees spots and restaurants. Of course every thing is on the expensive side. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a sailing cruise.

We absolutely LOVE Newport, RI!!! Being sailors from the Midwest (Michigan), we love the atmosphere of everything boats and water. In my humble opinion, this is the sailing mecca of the East Coast and quite possibly the entire United States! Bowen's Wharf gets you right...More

Nice to walk through and look at all the restaurants and shops and people watch. If you are lucky enough to get a chair or bench to sit down you can people watch for hours. Lots of restaurants and shops too.

Would be crowded. Make reservations to eat if possible. Walk a way to park car in garage. Can be a bit pricey.
