The Luau at Hake Koa Hotel is on every Monday and Thursday. The evening starts at 5:30pm with cocktail, music and various activities on the lawn. Dinner then starts around 6:30pm followed by Luau performance. The host and dancers put up such a fun, exciting and amazing show. At the end of the night, they not only paid respect to... More

To start, this show is open to military card holders whether they are active duty, national guard or reserve and possibly other DoD members. That aside, this show was fantastic. Show up about an hour before dinner to learn about Polynesian culture with lots of activities. Then get seated for the dinner. Lot's of food and the service is great.... More

I've attended this luau three times. Once for a romantic get away, once with my children and once with friends. It has to be one of the best luaus on the island. The grounds are stunning. You're greeted with a cocktail (non alcoholic option available) and there's activities prior to the luau. They have a cool presentation right before dinner... More

My family attended this luau on a Thursday evening. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was very educational and informative, funny and beautiful. The dancers were excellent and we were all impressed with the dedication and knowledge they displayed. The food was good and abundant. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this event. It only happens two nights a... More

This was the first trip to Hawaii for my wife and I and going to a Luau was high on our to do least. The Hale Koa hotel Luau seemed like a good choice sense we were staying there and the price was reasonable compared to other luaus. Everything was well organized and efficiently presented from the food to the... More

We attended the October 13th show. Let me commend the performers. They we professional and very entertaining! I am disappointed with the service because I was told there was no difference between the seats located in the front, lower level and the rear. Not True! The seats located in the rear are not just limited by structural obstructions but the... More

Before being seated at a pre-assigned table, there is 45 minutes of mai tais, lei making, music, and a presentation of digging up the pig from the under ground oven heated by rocks. Then, after being seated at tables, the food is served. There is no buffet line! The entertainers are beautiful and talented people that present dances from several... More

We are regulars at the great Barefoot Bar but had non-drinkers visiting us and decided to give their Polynesian Luau a go. The price at under $60 was very modest and included a lovely meal and one alcoholic drink. Some great demonstrations and a decent show. Great value for money

I was not too impressed with the Hale Koa Luau. The food and drink options rather over-looked diabetic folks. As you come in the gate you are offered a fruit drink, or a Mia Ti. The horderves were served family style on the tables but without labels. I found out after I had some on my plate that one of... More

We heard about a number of places to appreciate the island culture but the Hale Koa managed to deliver it in one evening with a fantastic dinner leaving plenty of time to see more of Hawaii during the remainder of our already too short stay. The food was a nice mix to include local flavors. You can't beat the price... More
