Three first time divers. Elise and Michael were extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant. Michael killed it with the corny jokes 😂. Loved our experience and would definitely come back to reef pirates. Can't forget the captain Dan who was very helpful. Thanks again guys!!!

Super friendly diving outfit focused very much on each individual's needs and above all our safety. The small groups really make a difference- we were able to see much more than I have with other companies in the past and it was a very comfortable atmosphere on the boat. The captain took great care with everyone, and both dive masters... More

I am a diver from the Philippines and I went diving in Hawaii recently with Reef Pirates. I can sum up the whole experience with one word: HORRIBLE! We were assigned to a small boat with a dive master, a ship captain, and a friend of the ship captain. Throughout the entire dive trip, we were bumping one another. The... More

Aloha George, Thank you for your email! We take this VERY seriously!!! We spoke with Cpt Mir and Cpt Sean about what happened. The Cpt's friend is also a dive instructor and was able to stick with the diver who was cold and wanted to abandon the dive. Instructor Johnny continued the dive with the rest of the group so... I really enjoyed the dive and it was great to be able to dive around a plane wreck, which was a fantastic and amazing dive. This was our second dive with them after having been certified with the same company. I would really suggest diving with Reef Pirates any time you are near Honolulu

My family has two divers and two snorkelers, the crew was awesome with both of our groups. Was delighted to see mine and my son's gear set up and ready to go when we boarded the boat. There were only six of us on the boat and it was a little cramped, but not too bad. My most important thing... More

Wanted to thank reef pirates for three days of great diving and amazing customer service. Special thanks to the boat captains who are the friendliest captains I have ever encountered on a dive boat! And also thanks to dive master Lee (spelling?) for staying down in the freezing cold water with me so I could dive my air on my... More

Aloha Jodie and Kevin, We are so glad you enjoyed your dives with us! We are fortunate to have GREAT crew; especially Instructor Lee. We chuckled a bit at your "freezing cold water" statement as our current water temperature is a moderate 77 degrees. We are fortunate that we have such warm water (74 in February/March up to 84 in... We came to Oahu to dive wrecks and were very pleased with Reef Pirates. Bud, Mike and Dan were great - weather made some of the dives challenging but they were able to anticipate conditions and make sure every day we spent with them was memorable and enjoyable. Being based at Koko Marina was a big advantage for us. We... More

Have been diving for more than 25 years in Maldives, Yap, Great Barrier Reef, Red Sea, the Philippines, etc and have never experienced a dive establishment worst than this one! Do not be misled by the pictures and the advertisements! The dive boat was cramped and we were just bumping one another. There was no decent place to change. The... More

Background: My partner and I did advanced open water certification with them. 6 dives, and overall it is very good. Pro: staff and owner are pleasant people to work with.
