Be prepared, have good walking shoes, while this venue takes up only a portion of the colleges parking lot, there are no shortage of vendors, from fresh flowers and produce, freshly made coffee and foods to tantalize anyones taste buds. I believe the hours are 7 to 11 on Saturdays, this place is usually packed with locals and visitors alike,... More

Get here early because by 11am this farmers market is totally gone as if it never happened. No trace at all. Lots of fresh local fruits and natural drinks. Come for breakfast and enjoy shrimp fried rice with egg. Plenty of local flowers and succulents for sale. Love the sights and smells. At the foot of Diamond Head Trail park... More

We went on a Saturday morning around 9:00 a.m., and it was packed. This is a great farmers market, as it has a lot of different things to offer, not the same old. We were visiting as tourists, not locals, so we didn't really pick up any fruits or vegetables to bring back with us, but we sure ate our... More

Diamond head Crater is just across the street, we enjoyed a walk there first. Then the College Cactus gardens are gorgeous, a local told us to check them out. Of course lots of excellent meals to choose from at the market... I had a fab portochini mushroom burger. Wonderful fruits to take back to your hotel. and so much more....

I was surprised seeming the variety of cactus displayed in a small garden area. Reminded me of Arizona. Near diamond Head.

Have meant to go here for a long time, this time it was on the agenda. Went by The Bus, arrived at 8.30 & it was crowded big time with tour buses, so crowded in fact I was concerned I was going to loose my husband in the crowds as we tend to wander. I am not one for crowds,... More

The stated opening time is 7:30 a.m. That is when all the tourists (mostly groups of Japanese) wait behind the rope waiting for the horn to sound signifying opening. Before that time, the locals are walking around the market making their purchases, so the 7:30 a.m. opening time only pertains to the tourists. Once the horns sounds, the Japanese run... More

The market is open from 7:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Community College on Diamond Head Road. The locals are permitted to enter the shopping area before 7:30 a.m., but the tourists are held back behind a rope until the horn blows. When the rope is dropped, the tourists which included lots of bus loads of Japanese... More

A hidden gem near Waikiki and is FREE! A fantastic and diverse collection of cacti located on the campus of Kapiolani Community College. East to find, it is located on bus routes and a good hike from Waikiki. A collection of cactus from all over the world. Sahuaros from the Sonoran Desert of Arizona and Boojum from Baja California thriving... More

The garden, which was started by its namesake, displays a wide variety of cacti. It was started by its namesake, Mr. Teraoka, in 1988. The garden is located on the side of the school campus that faces the entrance to the Diamond Head National Monument and trail. The collection is eye candy for gardening enthusiasts.
