Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were music theater subscribers for decades in San Francisco, and have also seen musical theater on Broadway, London, and elsewhere. All were obscenely expensive, but we paid because that was the only way to see them.
Today for the first time, we went to Diamond Head Theater, and watched Jesus Christ Superstar! Wonderful performance in a mid-sized theater with excellent acoustics.
And the seats were only $25, not the $400 we paid last time we visited Broadway!
This is going to be place we go to a lot in the future!

This is an excellent little local theatre. We try to go to these when we vacation and this one ranks right up there with the best we have been to. Great talent.

We attended The Producers here in May while on vacation, and it was very well done. This place isn't hard to find but it is a little way out of Waikiki, so if you don't have a rental car it could be difficult to get there. On the plus side, it does have its own parking lot! We had just a small "burp" in that our tickets, which I'd ordered via the internet quite some time in advance, weren't in will call. A supervisor was consulted, who quickly found my purchase (from my phone number, as I recall) and issued the tickets. Note that the theater does not allow late seating once the play begins; it would be disruptive because of the layout. So get there on time!

If you're coming to Honolulu you should check DHT's schedule and if there is a performance on at the time I highly recommend getting some tickets before they are all gone.
We have never seen a bad show. The prices are very reasonable. The theatre itself makes you feel like you are seeing a show in the 1930's and there really isn't a bad seat in the place.
I truly is a very memorable experience that you will never forget!

My wife and I have enjoyed a few productions shown in this comfortable and personal venue. Excellent presentations with live music featuring local as well as premiere talent.
We recently experienced the play "All Shook Up" that highlight music made popular by Elvis. The way the music was intertwined within the story was amazing and entertaining. Although there was an interesting twist to the story (an example of political correctness within a skewed worldview) we had a good time.
Looking forward to planning future visits during the next Theatre season. If you haven't tried it you should as it's a fantastic experience and pleasure.

On one of our evening strolls in the Diamond Head area we came upon this most wonderful little theater. Inquiring about the shows, the little ladies at the ticket booth, in the true Aloha Spirit, invited us in for the dress rehearsal. What a treat and highlight of our stay in Honolulu. The show was excellent, funny, and the actors really worked hard to make the performance superb. Give it a try - you won't be sorry!

This is a nice venue. Almost every seat is a good seat. And, the price is very reasonable for the quality product.
DHT should also be supported because it has given many local newcomers, young and old, a chance to showcase their talents. It would be a shame for local talent if this opportunity is lost.

Coming from a family strong community theatre background in Australia we were bemused to have the opportunity to see the 'sold out' theatre production of Legally Blonde
Theatre can be reached by a no 2 bus from Waikiki or a $10 taxi. Probably need to get a taxi back as we got lost trying to traverse the late night bus system
The production itself was first-class The theatre is comfortable, and very homey.
They advertised the play in one of the publicity rags....don't imagine many tourists go.
But it was as good as many professional productions, and one third of the price....who am I kidding ...one sixth!!! A great thing to do...check them out for something different to do.

We saw Annie. As a New Yorker, I frequently go to Broadway shows. Annie at Diamond Head was top rate! The actors, including children, were fabulous, as was the choreography, costumes, sets, and orchestra. Yes, there is a live orchestra. There were 8 pieces, but the orchestra director re-arranged all the musical scores for the musicians and, himself, played 6 different instruments.
My sister, a Honolulu resident, says that all performances at Diamond Head are fabulous. Kudos to the entire cast, musicians, designers, producer and director. All that and the tickets are only $25 thanks to donors.
Do take the time to enjoy a performance

I had the pleasure of seeing Singin in the Rain at the Diamond Head Theater in Honolulu when I was there on a recent visit - what a treat! It was a great show with wonderful singing and dancing. The theater is small so there are no bad seats. Box office and ushers were all friendly and helpful. If I lived on Oahu I would be season subscriber - great entertainment at a great price. Mahalo!

I wish there was a way to give my tickets for Noises Off on January 26, 2019 to a deserving couple. I bought online but can’t attend.
