It can get crowded when special events are held and over some weekends. Otherwise this beach park is a great place to get away and relax, swim & picnic. They have a long stretch of sandy beach with calm waters protected by a reef. They have a large tennis facitiliy. L & L Hawaiian BBQ concession stand serves good looking,... More

Unlike Waikiki beach this place is not crowded and these plenty of room for the kids to run around plus you have Ala Moana shopping Centre across the road if you're hungry. Great exercise area for those of us that travel for business. While there there was a news article discussing upgrading the area, it can certainly do with it... More

Strolled thru here. Lots of birds, people chilling, doing yoga etc. Some swimmers but not many. Clean. Nice place to hang if you need beach and low budget.

A family oriented beach. There were many people at the beach with canopies, lingers, music and barbecues. The water is shallow and somewhat calm so good for young children. People were using stand up paddle boards and inflatables to enjoy the water.

Loved finding this area. Not so crowded and has a good path for walking and jogging. Great place to pick up shells and pebbles and enjoy the clean waters. If the crowds get to you then this is a place to get away and relax. Loved it!

If you're staying in this area you might notice that people tend to congregate near the waikiki beach area however although this is also crowded it is less so and my preferred beach in the area.

The situation with the homeless has improved over recent years so you can now once again take long walks and relax and picnic here or take a dip in the ocean. The sand area is very open and flat with no shade so bring your umbrella

This is a nice, quiet (compared to Waikiki) beach park. There are a certain number of homeless people who seem to make their home in the connected grassy park, but they did not bother anyone when we were there. The water is cold (typical for the Pacific Ocean when compared to the Caribbean), but is very, very calm. Little children... More

This is a lovely beach where lots of locals come for the day. You often see families picnicking in the park and playing on the beach - lots of fun!
