Hanauma bay is beautiful. It's perfect for snorkeling especially if you have kids because there are so many different types of ocean lives living under the emerald color water! Definitely bring sunscreen since there's no shade. I've seen some tents here too lol Bring aqua shoes. I got a little booboo from the coral since they are very sharp. Bring... More

We absolutely loved this place? Had so much fun and would return in a heart beat! While it was crowded in the water, which caused it to be slightly murky, it was still pretty easy to spot the different types of fish swimming around. There are no shops to buy food from once at the beach. Suggest buying food beforehand.

Always our snorkeling spot when coming to Hawaii. Great views and the Surf is usually not too crazy. Good place for families and kids.

Great spot for beginners! We saw at least 20 different colorful fish. Get there early, lockers available. Even though the intro video stresses not standing on the coral you'll see too many people doing so. Respect and preserve this natural wonder.

We went twice in our week in Hawaii. The first time (Monday) was much less crowded than the second (Thursday), on the Thursday we drove past and saw it was full so came back and got in 2 hours later. Both times we really enjoyed the bay. The story behind the bay is awesome and it beautiful to see a... More

This was one of my first stops in hawaii while driving around. Such a beautiful and memorizing place, you must see it. There's a short video on protecting the coral reef if/when swimming which I'm glad they show. Respect the wildlife by not standing on or touching the coral since it's alive. Small gift shop, plenty of parking and a... More

We tried twice getting in here. They open at 6 am. One day we arrived at 10 and the next dY we arrived at 830 and still couldn't get in. We kept getting turned away. We were a upset. How could it be so full that we couldn't get in!?

Just so beautiful! Fish everywhere! Bring your own gear if possible to avoid the overpriced rentals. Bring your own lunch, too. And bring LOTS of sunscreen! What an amazing day!
