I would absolutely recommend this national park to and one whether, age, physical shape, or likes! It was by far one of the most beautiful places in all of Hawaii and educational at the same time. One can snorkel, swim, hike, or sun bathe! The natural resources in this park are a hidden gem!

We arrived at Hanauma Bay early about 6:50am, like all the reviews I had read recommended. There was plenty of parking and no lines at the ticket window. We watched the 7:15 movie and were on our way down the hill to the beautiful beach. There were a few people who had arrived before us, maybe 2 dozen, but the... More

Great place to scuba, snorkel or just relax in the sun. Lost of wildlife and things to see. Get there early or late for parking.

Hanauma Bay is one of my favorite places that I've been to. Every time I visit Hawaii, I make plans to come to this wonderful place again. The snorkeling is safe and mostly in shallow water. All you really have to do is stand and put your mask into the water and you will see many different colored fish. When... More

It is a great place for beginners or family's with small child. If you don't arrive very early you can't find parking and can expect a long wait to enter. Then there is a wait for the information video and the stamp to actually enter the Bay. The extra few dollars for the ride to the bottom is worth it.... More

You can't go wrong with any place in Hawaii, but this bay is great for snorkelling. Warm waters, plenty of ocean-life, lots of fun! Pack a picnic/lunch, do it on your own time and drive there by yourself. Early mornings are best to avoid the tourist buses, and crowds. Absolutely beautiful and a must!

This is must see place on Oahu. I think they keep this nature treasure very well. Despite of millions visitors (some of the are more careful some not), we still could enjoy beautiful tropical fish, corals and some turtles, clear water and nice beach. Parking is big, entrance has interesting design, presentation is short and helpful. It is not big... More

Ugh.. I really want this place to be great. I love to snorkel. It was probably awesome at some point but now, I think it's just got a corner on the snorkeling market for the Waikiki tourists. It costs too much, they force you to watch some movie, then you go down to an overcrowded beach that seems to be... More

If you are in Oahu then this should be in your must see list. It is a very good site for beginners in snorkeling. Just rent snorkeling gear and you are good to do snorkeling. If you are non-swimmer but want to do snorkeling then rent boogie board, floatation vest along with other snorkeling gear, but better have a instructor or... More

From the second you see the bay high above the surf you are mesmerized. A camera cannot effectively capture the beauty of this spot. It costs 7.50 and it's worth every cent. The park service requires that everyone watches an eleven minute movie to stress the importance of conserving the reef for future generations. The fish are plentiful as well... More
