Amazing crew! Everyone in this shop is super knowledgeable about scuba diving, very patient, detail oriented and this shop has an extremely welcoming atmosphere. Every time before the dive, my instructor Yosuke always gave me detailed instructions to make sure I know what to expect. During the dive, he is skilled finding wild life out there as well, even the ones with camouflage! I saw white tip shark and many other rare species thanks to him! And after the dive, since I had really bad sea sickness, he helped me with many house keeping work so I can rest to recover. At the end, they gave me a little celebration ceremony for the certification, which makes me feel like accomplished. Bonus point, the shop owner Magician Moto give you a special show to end the day! Highly recommend this shop to everyone and they are very reasonably priced compared to many places at Waikiki.

Highly highly recommended!!! Whether you are looking for fun dive trips or taking PADI diving courses, Sunshine scuba is your best choice. All staffs here are friendly, patient, and thoughtful. Despite language barriers, they make sure everything is well communicated before taking further moves. My friend got her first OW license with instructors Yosuke, Lee, and Aibacci. All of them were caring, attended every student in the group equally, most importantly, made the learning experience safe and fun!! Even those in the group who started intimated by the ocean, gained so much confidence, and felt secured with the teaching team.
For certificated divers, they have both boat and beach dive options at excellent dive locations near Waikiki. I didn’t get the chance to dive with Shima, but I’ve heard great stories from people who went with him that day. Conversations with him are kind and fun. My friend and I had a great time at the restaurant he recommended haha
Overall, the whole crew created an accommodating and friendly environment for anyone who is interested in diving. They are professional, thorough, and kind!!! Definitely coming back to Hawaii just to dive with them again

We took our PADI Open Water Diver course with Shima from Sunshine Scuba and it was amazing!! Shima was super patient, attentive to details, and professional. He made sure everyone was able to complete the tasks before moving on with next steps. The course size was also small (only four people) so you can have his full attention.
It was just such a perfect experience! We saw sea turtles, an eagle ray, and a lot of other fish. At the end of the day, as a celebration of us becoming certified Open Water Diver, Moto, the owner of Sunshine Scuba also performed an amazing magic show for us!
Thank you Shima, Moto, and Sunshine Scuba ❤️ We appreciate you so much and literally couldn’t have done it without your help. We will definitely come back for more classes! Mahalo!

Our instructors were super friendly and thorough with instructions. It was my first time diving and I thought I wasn't going to get through it. Everything was new and I even panicked a little. However, my instructor Yosuke helped me get through it. He was very patient and taught me exactly what I was doing wrong and how to precisely fix it. I'm glad I was able to dive because it became a fun experience and even saw turtles up close! If I were to dive in Oahu again, I will definitely choose this place!

We started with a spectacular wreck dive, which turned out to be a turtle's nest😊

I would recommend Sunshine Scuba to everyone. All the staff are very professional and patient. I took PADI Open Water course and got my certificate here. Shima sang was my instructor. His teaching was very organized, clear and easy to follow. He always encouraged me and taught me how to improve my skills. Every time I felt panic (just because I’m beginner) I would calm down when he was there. He is like a master of the sea! He is also a great photographer! I love our diving experience with Honu, lobsters and many fishes lol.
Moto sang is the owner and magician! You can’t miss his magic shows. I wish I can watch more.
The value is great for OW course and diving experience. They also offer transportation service for almost all the Waikiki hotels. The staff is like a whole family.
I already miss them! Hope I could come back one day for my advanced OW cert or just for fun diving and of course the magic shows!!

It was my first dive in decades, but my anxiety was well supported by the staff and I was able to refresh smoothly.
After all, diving in Hawaii is good! It took me to this point. We took the boat to the area overlooking Pearl Harbor. All of a sudden, I was greeted by a military aircraft and I was able to see a fighter plane in front of me and have another experience before diving.
It may be a dive, but a sunken ship is still extraordinary and fascinating. Plus there were sea turtles, well, who greeted him one after another, and swam about with him, and even saw the sharks.

We were very grateful for the couple's fun dive on the boat during our trip to Hawaii. We enjoyed diving with the help of our guide and a lot of marine turtles and sunken boats. Even though I can't speak English, I was able to enjoy diving without any stress.
Thank you for taking lots of photos. We did four dives over two days, and we were able to enjoy different spots all at the same time. I'd like to come to Hawaii for diving again.
