We did this as part of a Half Circle Jeep tour. This also has the ruins of the old royal summer residence. its a very interesting place, with bamboo forests. one of the parking areas is the location of the last battle in which Oahu fell to King Kamehameha. It is so windy at this point, you better hold on... More

Not far from Waikiki. The site of the battle that united the Hawaiian Islands, there is a plaque with the history. The weather can be windy and quite different from Waikiki.

Spent an entire afternoon here. The drive up is beautiful. Parking is limited but it wasn't busy on a Sunday afternoon. It rained several days in the past week and was very muddy and slippery, which may account for the less traffic. I took the Judd trail to the nu'uanu to the Paola. Crossed through a pine forest, bamboo forests... More

if you have time to spare then I would suggest that you take a drive around the rain forest and stop at the different look out points. The views are amazing. We were lucky with the weather and got there just before it started to rain.

Part of our drive around Oahu. A great place to stop and gaze at the views. Can be windy and while there appeared to be a park person in a vehicle when you exited, no one was paying the self service parking fee and he was not stopping anyone for the fee.

Nuuanu Valley is my most favorite spot on planet earth . There's a magnetism here of pure energy. It's so lush and tropical and with its cool soft breezes that comes down the Ko'olau mountains to kiss your face makes this place just magical. From Fresh waterfalls to the abundant local nature this is a must to do , see,... More

We drove through the rain forest on our way to the north side. The rain forest itself was OK but not spectacular. However the view from the top was unbelievable. Panoramic view of most all of Honolulu, extending from Diamond Head on your left and almost to Ko Olina on the right. Very strong trade winds on the day we... More

I believe that this could possibly be a 5 but the weather didn't help itself. My 5s in terms of lookouts were 'koko head 1st and diamond head 2nd' An amazing view and if you do not have transport this view is included in the 'pearl harbor and circle island day tour' on trip advisor. Which i HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The... More
