For those of you who want a Polynesian experience, but can't fit a drive out to the PCC, this is an incredible option. The dancers were all phenomenal, the storyteller superb, and we had reserved seats right in front. No pushing, no issues - just a great show.

We bought tickets which allowed us to have the buffet dinner and then watch the show. The food and service were very good. However, they should provide wash bowls on the table to rinse your hands after eating crabs. We loved every bit of the presentation. The dancers and the narrator were excellent. We even had photos taken with the... More

May be a touristy thing to do but lacks authenticity. Great idea to look st so many islands but the Maoris did a very poor Hakka and were not dressed in true costume. Made me wonder about the rest. Quite expensive for a one hour show, particularly when you can go to a top class west end show for 2-3... More

Te Moana Nui Tales of the Pacific is a skillful depiction of dance forms from a variety of Pacific islands including Hawaii, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Tahiti and New Zealand. Ancient and modern hula are represented. The dancers are serious about their craft and many have studied under famous hula teachers. The emphasis though is on putting on a good show.... More

I opted for the standard dinner and show. The standard dinner is a self-service buffet. The choice and quality of the dishes were good for the price. It's not a luau, just a nice Pacific-rim restaurant. Everything I tried was good but I particularly enjoyed the chocolate banana bread pudding. A detailed menu can be found on the Princess Kaiulani... More

We purchased the dinner buffet & show. We have been to 5+ luau on Maui, Big Island & Oahu. It was clear from the web site that this is not a typical outdoor luau with traditional Hawaiian roasted pork. Since we had been to many luau that aspect was fine and the show was fantastic. Probably the best show we... More

This is a dinner show featuring stories of Polynesia told in beautifully costumed dance and song. The dinner, prior to the show, was held on the patio of the Sheraton Princess Kaiulaini next to their beautiful pool. During dinner we were serenaded by two singing guitarists, a hula dancer and two dancers from the Show. We opted for the deluxe... More

Based upon other reviews of outdoor luaus (bugs, weather, long bus rides, number of people), I chose a close, smaller, indoor location. With young kids, I wanted to be able to control as many variable as possible (mostly weather-related, and the ability to leave when I wanted without a long drive in the dark, or relying on a tour bus).... I'm always looking for Hawaiian cultural activities, and have been to a number of luau's and shows over the course of the 30 years I've been visiting Hawaii. The show at the Princess Kaiulani felt more genuine and intimate than any of the other shows that I've seen. I found the show to be respectful of traditional culture as compared... More
