About
Come immerse yourself in history and learn about “the day that will live in infamy” as you enjoy one of the country’s historical treasures... Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial. You will enjoy panoramic views of Pearl Harbor, the Ko’olau Mountains, and the US Navy Pacific Fleet as you walk through interesting museums, speak to veterans that are among the handful of remaining survivors, and watch the Pearl Harbor Documentary exclusive to the Memorial. Then, prepare to board a US Navy ferry boat to enjoy a cruise around Pearl Harbor and visit the USS Arizona Memorial. There, you'll see the wall of names, the black tears of the Arizona, and the ghostly ship lurking in the depths below the platform. After Pearl Harbor, your amazing guides will take you to see the Punchbowl National Cemetery and the statue of King Kamehameha the Great before heading back to Waikiki. Aloha Pearl Harbor only uses premium limo style buses with ac.

My husband and I enjoyed the tour of Pearl Harbor. Cousin Nate was a great tour guide! He has a wealth of knowledge regarding Hawaii's history. I recommend booking your tour with Aloha Pearl Harbor tours.

What we thought would be a peaceful, quiet and insightful round trip to Pearl Harbor turned out to be a half day stuck in a bus with over-excited people - starting with the driver. First, the “tour” we had purchased only mentioned a shuttle ride back and forth to Pearl Harbor. We expected a somewhat quiet and relaxing ride through the Island with some nice views. We were not prepared for a summer-camp-like entertainment with grown adults actually signing songs and repeating debilitating sounds after the driver. Grown, adults.
Once we survived the ride to PH, the tour was actually okay, but not ran by Aloha PH tours. We were bracing ourselves for the ride back to the Hotel - but were not prepared for what was in front of us. The tour guide’s singing and crazy sounds just got worse AND we ended up stopping at multiple spots to look at monuments or listent to stories - which believe me we were never aware we signed up for. We became a bit claustrophobic when we realized we were stuck on that mini-bus, with poor AC, screaming vacationers and a potentially never-ending array of stops. There was no way to get out!
After several unadvertised sightseeing stops, the driver finally let people out so they could take better pictures. That’s when we ran for our lives. We left the bus about 30 mins outside of Waikiki, because any option back to our hotel was better than this one.
So the bottom line is, unless you like childish entertainment and want to spend half a day roaming in a bus, we would not recommend that tour. Otherwise, getting a Uber back and forth is worth the extra spend.

It definitely was one of the highlights of our trip.
Pros
- Early arrival helped to beat massive crowds
- Kona coffee and Leonard's malasades/donuts, absolutely delicious
- Cousin Nate is FANTASTIC. He is funny, knowledgable, and engaging
- the USS Bowfin was impressive and the self guided audio tour was very informative.
- The video of the attack on Pearl Harbor was also informative and educational
- The entire area, with all of the monuments and exhibits, helped us understand, remember and reflect.
Cons
- While the coffee and donuts were perfect for such an early start, the time alloted (10-15min) was not enough, especially for those of us in the back of the bus who stepped off the bus last. I can't down a hot cup of coffee that fast.
- The time allowed at the memorial was also not enough. We had about an hour and a half to take in the entire area, including all of the museums and exhibits before heading to the theater to watch the video and then taking the ferry to the Arizona. Definitely did not have time to grab any food for those of who were still hungry. We missed several exhibits due to lack of time. We entered the area and began our self tour around 7:30am, lined up @8:45 for the 9am Pearl Harbor informative video, and returned from the USS Arizona at 10. Had to be back on the bus at 10:15. Just wish the tour company gave us a bit more time.

The shuttle was 50 minutes late, no apologies. Seatbelts were tied up rendering them unusable. Driver gave false information about the exhibits. After seeing the memorial there was a two hour wait to go back. There were other exhibits but you had to pay more. The shuttle bus was old and uncomfortable. The A/C was on but didn’t cool off the bus. The driver cursed and made disparaging remarks about Hawaii. The city tour was ridiculous. The driver stopped to show local fish and got them to come to the surface by feeding them flavored salted chips, we found this appalling. I advise you plan ahead and get a FREE admission ticket on the park’s website. You’ll save money and 4+ hours of your time.

The day started off late. We were told to be at Ross Dress for Less at 8. Weren’t picked up until 815a. Cousin A was our driver. While energetic, he comes off as arrogant, telling guest’s that they don’t know anything about Hawaii and the area.
After arriving at Pearl Harbor, we were told to meet back at the Taxi stop at Noon to depart. We were given 90 minutes to tour PH. Not enough to fit everything in. We returned to the taxi stop at 11:59a. The shuttle was nowhere to be found. We phoned the tour company and they told us to wait because he was late.
At 12:15, we called back and Sam told us she would call other guests on the tour. When she called back, she told us that the bus left early because everyone was onboard. Clearly not the case.
We were told to Uber back to our cars. Completely unprofessional. For a culture built on welcoming others, this seems like a very strange way to do so.

We bought this because of the positive reviews. My husband woke the morning of with food poisoning and they wouldn’t let us reschedule without charging us $25/each. We decided to go on our own and found out everything they offer is FREE! The parking is free, the tour is free, the video, the tram to the monument, all FREE! This is such a scam!

We booked on the island of Oahu mainly to visit the USS Arizona Memorial. However, right now you can not step onto the Memorial because the dock is under repair (It will reopen December 7th 2019). Nevertheless, we did not know to reserve the free tickets to Pearl Harbor ahead of time. So the Aloha Pearl Harbor Tour was great. Get up early, they pick you up at a spot close to your hotel at 5:30 am. The bus was big, clean and had great air conditioning. Our guide was Cousin Nate who only does the tour on Saturday and Sunday. He teaches you so much about Hawaiian history, culture, Pearl Harbor, plus he is very funny and engaging. At any rate, you get to Pearl Harbor at 7am which is run by our fine military. The movie and exhibits are fantastic, and the boat tour “around” the USS Arizona is very thought provoking. After getting off the boat, we spent another $15 to do the Bowfin Submarine Tour, well worth it. Then at 11am we were back at Cousin Nate’s Bus for a quick tour around other Honolulu sights. Back near our hotel around 1pm. Great experience!

This is my third Pearl Harbor tour but first with Aloha Tours and I must say, it's unlikely I'll use this company again.
I was beyond excited to explore the beautiful island of Oahu (my 15th time) with my fiancee, young daughter, close friends and their daughter (everyone else's 1st time). We get on the bus no worries - fast forward 10 minutes and my daughter is happily squealing at passersby and waving to fellow passengers.
We thought this to be perfectly acceptable. That is, until an announcement comes over the speaker to the tune of, 'please control your child's screaming, it's disruptive to the other passengers who have paid to listen to the historical narration. Do you underatand what I'm saying? Do we have an understanding?'
As first-time parents we were completely humiliated and nodded our agreement, trying to get our 16 month old to stop making noise of any sort.
Imagine our relief when every person on that bus started murmuring about how rude and out of line the tour guide was. Two young gentleman in front of us actually turned around to us and asked if he was being serious. He was.
At the end of the tour we had people come up to us and tell us how well behaved both girls had been the entire tour.
The tour itself was ok but unfortunately our experience turned us off doing another with this company.

The van was a little late getting there (another family at another pick up spot was late). But once we boarded we had a great time. We had trouble getting Pearl Harbor tickets in advance and I didn't want to go to Oahu and not see the memorial. I got the feeling that a lot of the tickets go to tour companies. However, Cousin Mia was really fun and funny. He kept us all engaged. He taught us a bit about the Hawaiian culture and history and the poi donuts were yummy. Tip: You can't bring bags into the memorial. We were able to lock ours on the tour bus, but there is also a bag check there.

If you've visited the beautiful island of Hawaii, you may well have had the privilege of visiting Pearl Harbor. If you haven't, you should. Many of us seem to have a misconception about the American people and in particular their patriotism. When you visit Pearl Harbor, you'll understand why so many Americans are patriotic and with good reason. The cowardly attack that occurred on December 7, 1941 cannot be imagined by any of us who are lucky enough to be here and perhaps be educated on the horror that took place on this day. I have great respect for the service men & women who defend their countries. The difference is that on this day, these brave people did not get a chance to. I am so glad we took the time to visit. To our tour guide Cousin Nate & the wonderful people of the United States of America, Mahalo.

Hello,
Are there any rules for wanting to spread a loved ones ashes in Pear Harbor? My Grandfather died on the USS Arizona, and I want to release my mothers ashes there so she can be with her father. There will be a small group of 6 people, and we do not want to make a scene, but I don't want to do anything illegal. Can anybody help me out? Its difficult to find information about releasing ashes specificity at Pear Harbor.
Thank you,
Sean
