Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A beautiful church that is on the National Park site but not part of the park. Beautiful stained glass and an operational church. Volunteers available to answer your questions. Check out the Victory Bell display while you’re there.

Our trip to the Valley Forge National Historic Park was fantastic except for our last stop at the Washington Memorial Chapel. While the chapel is beautiful, at least what I got to see, the staff was incredibly rude. We went on a Saturday during their listed open hours but they were preparing for a wedding, so not only could we not see the chapel but we were rudely told that it was closed as we tried to walk in. No signs to alert us of this fact. So we thought that we would visit the gift shop. The door was wide open and again nothing to alert us that it was also closed. A woman came in yelling that they were closed and that the bottles of water in our hands (that we had intended to purchase when we were done browsing) were not FREE. As we had not opened them yet, we replaced them and immediately left the chapel with no intention of ever returning. It was a horrible experience. We were not some trouble makers- our group included myself, my children and my parents. I have never been treated so poorly in a place of business, let alone a church!

We enjoyed visiting this beautiful chapel in Valley Forge! Especially the Justice Bell, a full-size replica of the Liberty Bell. We also had some wonderful homemade baked goods at the Cabin Shop. We would love to come back in the summer and hear the Carillon on a Sunday or perhaps attend one of the Wednesday evening concerts.

We stopped here on our tour of Valley Forge, and luckily had hired an amazing tour guide, Randy, that was able to tell us the history of the place. The chapel was absolutely beautiful and well worth the stop.

The history is wonderful. The scenery is beautiful. Being able to drive through with cell phone self tour - stopping and lingering/exploring where you want is nice. Your time isn’t dictated by someone else.

This CHapel was breathtaking. The stain glass windows, the carved figures at the altar are gorgeous and so cool that nails from Washington's coffins are incorporated. There are artifacts from 9-11 in the church which were heart stopping as well as a replica of the Liberty Bell. Make sure to visit the chapel gift store as they have some amazing items.

We were leaving Valley Forge park and decided to stop in to take a quick look, and ended up spending over an hour. The detail invested in this structure, and all that's in it, is amazing. Along with George Washington, the various units of the Valley Forge encampment are honored. There is also a bell which toured the US during the woman's' suffrage (right to vote) movement, and rung for the first time after achieving this.
There is also a display of the current maintenance needs and plans for this structure. While within the boundaries of the Park, and a popular visitor attraction, it has no government support and relies its congregation and other support to do the job.

We were wowed by the splendor of this place. It really took our breath away. It was beautiful to see how they've dedicated a section to people from different wars.

Just about every site in Valley Forge has parking, as Valley Forge Park itself essentially must be driven through. The Chapel is no exception.
