The views of the Mississippi, barges and bridges from the Welcome Center are terrific. It was one of the better Centers we stopped at on our four week road trip for tourist information, etc. There are also cannons on the nearby hill that you can climb up to. All in all a great stop.

My family was quite surprised at how beautiful the scenery was from this Welcome Center. It sits on a hill overlooking 1 beautiful bridges with great views of the Mississippi River. You can walk to a casino from the welcome center. There is also a small military park if you walk up the "walkway bridge" to it. Just terrific views... More

If you are looking for a good place to snap photos of the Mighty Mississippi, stop here. The view is wonderful and the people working there are friendly and helpful.

Stop in here! Great view of the two bridges over the Mississippi River. There's a hill across the parking lot with great views of the river as well.

Visited on a Sunday hoping to find information out about outings we were interested in. We were given more information than expected while enjoying the grounds & overlooking MS River, bridges & R/R tracks.

This visitors center is very welcoming. Great picture opportunity of The Mighty Mississippi, two different bridges and railroad tracks. The staff was great.

We stopped here for a real quick visit on our way through Vicksburg heading east. All of the employees here were so nice to us, and one lady staff member in particular went out of her way to make us feel so welcome. She found out what we were interested in, and then she gave us maps and brochures of... More

While traveling from Fort Worth, Texas to Perry, Georgia, we stopped at the Visitor's Center and were just overwhelmed by the friendliness of the staff there, the wonderful time appropriate furnishings, the cleanliness of the building and grounds, and the overall feeling of being welcomed to Mississippi, not to mention the historical feeling you get when standing outside overlooking the... Since we're off for spring break I took the children to a different place every day. Even though I was born and raised in MS I've never really gotten a chance to look around MS. After shopping at the Outlet mall, which is slowly closing down, I went to see the majestic bridge. The welcome center was very clean and... More
