We stumbled across this museum on a rainy day but would recommend it to cultural and history buffs. We had a guided tour and loved the history of the home in all its mutations. The historians are doing a marvelous job of restoring the home to reflects its original glory. Definitely high on my list of must-see sites if you... More

My husband and I visited on Sunday and arrived only 1/2 hour before closing. The historian who was the volunteer for the day was absolutely marvelous. She walked us through the house and educated us in depth on both the house and the early life in Walla Walla. We ended up spending 1 1/2 hours there. She went over and... More

Decided to visit the Kirkman House because it was rainy and dreary out, but I am so glad we took the time to visit! Would recommend to anyone who is interested in historic homes, the nineteenth century, or even historic preservation projects. Only cost $25 for our whole family and the guide gave us a choice of a guided tour... More

We loved this home with all its beautiful rooms, furnishings, dishes, artifacts, and history. The price was $7 each and included a tour. There's pictures of the home's history but no video. The tour guide was very kind, friendly and informative but I'm sorry to say it was a little too long. We had other activities waiting.

A small house to look at with tons of history. Very good guides to give you information and well worth the $6 entrance fee. Spend an hour looking around

Visited the War Time Exhibit. Lots of great personal items and stories shared by the curators on a personal tour. This place is a must visit on your stop over!

The docent we had for our home tour was wonderful. She has researched the family, home and articles therein. This made a world of difference. It is remarkable that folks in Walla Walla had the foresight to purchase and refurbish this home.

The volunteer group that runs this excellent house museum does a superb job with the historical interpretation and maintenance. Very good information on the family that owned the property, some really delightful artifacts, and very good docents.
