There were 2 floors open, one for kids and one exhibit on the other floor by one artist. If you are walking by and want something to do for half an hour because you are killing time, this is perfect. If you have kids, this may be better suited for you.

The Contemporary Arts Center is basically in the center of downtown Cincinnati. It's not only convenient and extraordinarily reasonable (i.e. free), but it's very well designed. Like many contemporary art museums, there is little or no permanent collection, displaying a series of exhibitions that change over time. That ensures that that the art is always fresh and, of course, contemporary.... More

Incredible exhibition, nice experience. Also, good point about this place - it's for free which personally surprised me a lot 😅

Everything about this is wonderful. From the beautiful building, to the restaurant, the workers and the amazing exhibitons they bring in. Don't miss it. And after the museum, if you are kid free, go next door to 21C Hotel and have a wonderful cocktail at the copper bar. It's a perfect afternoon.

I love art museums and am saddened to give an average review to this one. This is my second visit, and both times I was underwhelmed. The museum doesn't have a permanent collection so that perhaps I picked two bad times to visit. Overall, I didn't find anything particularly exciting among the exhibits, A chacun son gout! Perhaps better luck... More

I had spainal surgery 7 weeks ago and my wife and I were looking for a small outing to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We decided on the Contemporary Arts Center. It was an 90 minute drive and didn't look too big for someone who couldn't do a lot of walking. It was PERFECT. Small footprint on 6 floors. The... More

Loved his museum and thanks to a group of lovely Cincinnati philanthropists it is now free for the next few years! Great exhibits and lovely space. the Un-Museum is a treat for the whole family - a fully interactive space where you can touch the art and create your own. The lobby is a lovely place to just hang out... More

This museum is now free for everyone, definitely check this place out if you're a local or your traveling. It'll take you an hour or so to get through everything. There are even some exhibits that are fun for the kids! Their restaurant is a great place to grab a drink or lite bite. Great date night activity!
