We were so excited about this trip and it was such a let down. We got to see the telescopes but because of the clouds we weren't able to see through it. I thought we would get a tour of the museum seeing as how...More

I can’t believe I’ve lived in Cincinnati for almost 13 years and I had never been to the observatory. What a hidden gem! So glad I finally took the time to visit. We went on a Thursday for one of their shows. It starts with...More

As a traveler, I find that way too often, museums and attractions close at 5 p.m. So I was glad to find a program at the observatory we could attend in the evening. This historic observatory is located in parklike setting atop a hill in...More

The grounds are beautiful, as are the buildings. We went during a special event to celebrate the viewing of Saturn. It was quite busy, and we had a very long wait to view the planet from each of the historical telescopes. However, there were also...More

We enjoyed the lecture and the tour. The view through the telescope was cool. The history of the observatory was fascinating too. We really enjoyed the impromptu viewing from the groups outside. It was a great date night.

They did an awesome job of conducting the tours of the two buildings. We were able to see the sun through a filtered telescope. The guides were great. Takes about an hour.

Nice place to visit. Fun to find concrete markers outside that show the distances between planets, although Pluto was supposedly buried in bushes and should be cleared off so you can find it (even if it is no longer considered a planet). Paid $5 for...More

I was in town, and decided to go to the observatory for the eclipse. It was awesome! Everyone there was very friendly, and it was amazing getting to see the eclipse through the Mitchell telescope!

I didn't even know we had an observatory. Even if you are not a science lover this is a lot of fun. There's a powerpoint presentation in the beginning - this part ended up being way too long and boring that night, so we almost...More
