The Aronoff Center for the Arts houses two stages, the larger Proctor & Gamble theater and the more intimate Jason-Kaplan. I have attended shows in both and can truly say there are very few bad seats in the house.
The best buy for tickets is to purchase season tickets or sometimes there are student rush tickets for sale two hours before curtain.
We have Broadway season tickets this year in the balcony section, and while the stage is far away, the sound is clear.
We always like to get to the theater about 30 minutes before showtime to make sure we find parking and avoid the rush of the crowd. There is a snack bar on each floor which offers reasonably priced sodas, bottle water, beer, wine and mixed drinks. You can also pre-purchase snacks or drinks that you want during intermission. This really saves you from standing in long lines.
We have always found the staff very friendly and helpful. When my husband was on crutches they spotted him as we entered the theater and immediately directed us to the elevator.
If you are wondering what to wear, don't worry too much. You will see a wide variety of dress, anything from extremely formal (tux and full length gowns) to folks in jeans and polo. Most people land somewhere in the middle.
The center does not have its own parking garage, but there are many options nearby. If there is a lot going on downtown the night that you are attending a performance you may have more luck parking north of the Aronoff on 7th street

Have had season tickets for the past 17 years. Have never been disapointed. There are now 10 of us in out group. We meet for dinner and then enjoy the show.

My husband and I used to have season tickets to the Aronoff but canceled them a few years back when they started to repeat shows we had already seen. I saw Fiddler on the Roof advertised on TV and thought it would be a good show to see. It did not disappoint. The performance was fantastic! I am so glad we went. Our seats were in Row B in the Loge. Good view. Catch the show before it leaves town.

There are so many wonderful plays that I would love to attend but I will not go to this theater because the seats are so very uncomfortable that I cannot enjoy the performances. Something needs to be done, the cost of the tickets is highest in the city and yet the chairs are the most uncomfortable. I am 68 years old and have bad arthritis. I will travel to another city to see a play before attending performances here. Many people I have spoken to feel the same, they need to upgrade their seats.

I attended the King and I broadway style performance.
We enjoyed sitting in Loge Front Right seats 155-154. About 104$ each. Friendly staff and this venue is just two block from Saturday lunch restaurants variety of styles. Not so much dinner restaurants at night fyi.
Close to Holiday Inn Downtown - we just walked right back to our hotel down 2-3 blocks after show which was convenient. Spoon and Cellar restaurant for dinner located at this hotel which we did use and it was convenient and pleasant ($$).
Arnoff seating was good - sound was good and seating area was clean. I recommend it. If you buy tickets at the section just behind Loge (Balcony) you will save 18-30$. depending on the show.
Live orchestra was awesome! Id come back here.

The Aronoff Center for the Arts is located in a beautiful building in downtown Cincinnati, easily accessible from numerous hotels and nearby parking garages. The larger auditorium (Procter & Gamble Hall) presents Broadway musicals, ballets, performing artists, and much more. The two smaller theaters provide opportunities to see an exciting range of regional, unique, and local shows. Surrounded by several restaurants, tickets to a performance at the Aronoff makes for a great night out.
While all of the seats have a good view, I personally prefer seats in the center sections because I find the acoustics more to my liking than seats on the far left or right. When buying tickets, you will find the lowest prices on their website, http://www.cincinnatiarts.org, rather than on the numerous resale sites that may include "aronoff" in their name.
Also located in the complex is the Weston Art Gallery. It is small and not something that I think would be worth a visit if you were not already going to be there to purchase tickets or see a performance.

If you catch one Broadway national tour this year, make it "I Love Lucy" Live On Stage. And you are in luck, because it is playing through June 14 at the lovely Aronoff Center in Cincinnati, Ohio!
This riotous step back into the world of Lucy and Ricky Ricardo and Fred and Ethel Mertz is just absolutely refreshing. Adapted for the stage and with new material by Kim Flagg and Rick Sparks, this fantastic evening of fun will take the audience back to a simpler time, when sometimes a good laugh is all that was needed to make the troubles of day-to-day-life disappear... even if only for an hour or two.
This play is presented in such a unique format! Guests are welcomed in as if they are attending a live taping of "I Love Lucy"... complete with a look behind the scenes, and the added treat of hilarious commercial add-ins. The original episodes of "The Benefit" and "Lucy Has Her Eyes Examined", were written by Jess Oppenheimer, Madelyn Pugh, and Bob Carroll Jr., and they are performed in such a way that you almost forget that you are sitting in a lavish theater, and not in the historic Desilu Studios.
Thea Brooks completely embodies the spirit of Lucy Ricardo. She moves like Lucy... even possessing her quirky mannerisms and charismatic facial expressions. Any fan of the television show probably enters the theater a bit anxious. I mean, Lucy Ricardo... what shoes to fill! However, Brooks effortlessly exceeds the expectations attached to this beloved character, and she draws the audience in with her welcoming, genuine approach to this amazing role.
Euriamis Losada is just endearing as the infamous Ricky Ricardo. While he is phenomenal during the "live tapings", he truly excels at his role in the "off air" scenes, where a wink to his secretary makes her swoon, and when he directs an actress, again causing her heart to race with a charming smile. And when he sings the first number, one can actually see members of the audience scoot to the edges of their seats.
Kevin Remington and Lori Hammel are beyond brilliant as Fred and Ethel Mertz. Remmington gets laughs with even mere gestures, while Hammel is perfect as Lucy's partner in crime.
I can not even imagine theater-goers exiting this performance without smiles on their faces. This genuine, unique production plays magnificent homage to one of television's most loved series, recreating it in a fashion that adds new insight into why the entire world loves Lucy!

A beautiful performing arts center in the heart of Cincinnati! The back row is a little too far back to see clearly, so if you go for the cheap seats I recommend binoculars.

We enjoyed our trip downtown to see Hello Dolly at the Aronoff. The theater was beautiful and well structured for good views. The sound was excellent. Great costumes and sets.

I had to write about our experience at the Aronoff Center for arts tonight.
We purchased tickets online that were on the third level. When I looked at them online I knew they were on the third level, and in the front row of the third level, but it never occurred to me just how high up the third level was, because I’ve never sat there before. So,we were excited to see the show.
When we got there and were escorted up to the third level, I realized the front row was going to be much too high for me, as I am afraid of heights. So we moved up a few rows, thinking that as long I wasn’t in the front row, I’d be OK. But no such luck. Anyway, we were just going to leave, but we were stopped by somebody who said where are you going and can I help you? So we explained the situation and they said, please show me your tickets and give me a few minutes. So we sat down and waited. When she came back, she said not a problem, we had two seats on the first level and she allowed us to sit there.
Needless to say we enjoyed the show very much, all because the employees are exemplary at the Aronoff.

How should people dress for a Broadway show in the orchestra section?
Written 21 December 2018
Hi Ryan! Honestly people wear lots of different things ... I've even seen jeans and a nice sweater. I always feel better if I dress up a bit. I wouldn't wear jeans, but it's a personal preference.
I would say the show can affect this too - for example, just saw Rent there. It's a rock musical so there were more jeans. At Miss Saigon I expect people may be a bit more dressed up.
Be you - be confident, you'll be fine. :)

I didn't think the main hall had any limited view seats. Most all are unobstructed. My guess is that you are at the outer edge and you can't see everything far back on the same side of the stage. Should still be able to see everything on center part of stage.
