This is a great drive with a good winery around every turn. You can spend hours stopping at the various wineries, many with places to eat and have a great day.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, and we're glad you enjoyed visiting our wineries!

While this wine trail was scenic and lovely, I had a mixed experience that was partly due to the behavior of others on the wine trail and partly due to issues with staff as some wineries. We started the trail a bit after noon on...More

I, too, have mixed feelings about your experience. I'm sorry that you had to deal with a rowdy crowd. Unfortunately, that sometimes happens and not much can be done about it. I'm also sorry that you dealt with disgruntled staff. I honestly wouldn't want to...More

There are an abundance of wineries along the trail to choose from. We were only able to visit four of the wineries. Thirsty Owl and Lucas offered a wide variety of wines for tasting. It was definitely a fun time for all. Plan your itinerary...More

A bit out of the way in my opinion from the main attractions and the wineries are better on the other trails. Make this the alternative trail only if you run out of wine.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We're sorry you didn't find a wine you preferred, everyone's tastes and preferences defer. With 14 different wineries on our trail, sometimes it comes down to finding the one that fits your palate.

Beautiful drive through wine country with views of the lake. Watch the speed limit signs. There are abrupt changes to 35 from 55, and the police are watching.

Great mixture of wineries on trail. Three Brothers and Montezuma Wineries two favorites. Not many restaurants on trail but local towns have good selection. Get gas for car before you need it and when you see it.

Beautiful scenery. Good wine and service. My favorite is Varick Winery. Tastings, pairings and countless samples. They treat you like family.

I can’t say enough good things about the vineyards, distilleries, and cideries along the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. Besides enjoying these wineries ourselves, many of the guests at our Airbnb come to enjoy the Trail. If you are a seasoned taster of New York wines...More

Lots of wineries and craft brewers. Check out the region for a fun weekend getaway. We went to Ithaca for a concert and thought we'd stay to check out wine country in New York State.

Yes, you will want a DD or transportation. There are a bunch of wineries in a 10 mile radius or so, but it is kind of rural and not many places right nearby to stay.
