we loved this place! We visited in October and because of the cooler temperatures the hot springs created ALOT of steam in the air. We could hardly see the walk ways. Good thing there are railings. But it created a whole new beauty to such a beautiful place. Loved it!,

Its a must visit place. The beauty of this place is hard to express in words. This place needs a bit of planning and improvisation though. If its a cloudy day then you may not be able to see all this place has to offer. The best time to visit is between 9 am - 1 pm on a sunny... More

All the photos are amazing and we were excited to view the Prismatic. However, you are eye level with the spring, walking on boardwalks so you don't get the entire color scheme from that angle. It would be lovely if there was an elevated platform for viewing.

The entire Geyser basin is fantastic. Must spend time visiting these wonderful formations. Plan for at least 1/2 day enjoying the separate basins.

Unfortunately, when we visited here there were cloud or something. We couldn't see the beautiful colors. Which was a real shame. On the other hand, we did see the beautiful one at the end of the 'Upper Geyser Basin'. Which is almost as beautiful.

We took an audio tour of Yellowstone and this was definitely a must-see stop. You will not be disappointed!

We tend to avoid huge, pushy crowds when we can, but I can say this was definitely worth braving the crowds. It defies description in its beauty and while the photos we got are spectacular, they don't do it justice. You really need to see this to believe the colors. Highly recommended everything in Yellowstone, but this was definitely a... More

My grand teens were "meh, another pool" ... unseen until you peak the ridge of the hill and get far along on the boardwalk ... you turn a corner and kapow ... this thing is bigger than three football fields and the colors are staggering brilliant. This is clearly the one must-see spot in Yellowstone.

We came in late Sept and the place was swarming with people and parking was a headache esp. if you came in mid/late morning and early afternoon when tour buses flood the place and tourists coming from West Yellowstone. We were not aware of the trail that would give you a top down view of the pool which by the... More
