This area is interesting and worth the stop and short walks

You can walk all the boardwalk areas here, or just a few or one. Very interesting; another natural wonder in Yellowstone.

Mammoth hot springs doesn't look like much at first but once you go up the wooden ramps and explore you wont be disappointed in the formations and little pools it creates. I've never seen anything like it! Located in Yellowstone you need a $30 day pass to get into the park, but its worth it. You can see bison on... More

Mammoth springs is a very scenic place with multiple different formations, hot pools, sulphur springs and very nice trekking deck. Very nice to visit anytime of the day. We stayed at Mammoth springs Hotel so we did morning walks everyday and it was very nice. Must place to see

Amazing to wander through the steaming hot springs in the middle of winter with snow all around! Well built board walks and paths make for a safe time.

This is a good place to stop. In the fall, you can find elk in the town. Be careful, if it is mating season time, you don't want to go near bulls. (Always be careful -- never approach more than 25yds.) In the winter, see the terraces and occasional elks visiting. Note, the hotels are undergoing renovations, so this year... More

This is pretty unique compared to other stops. The 'steps' are the main attraction, other than that not much to see. But the steps are worth a stop, we really loved the way they looked and found them very interesting.

Yes these are pretty. Yes they are worth a look once. What was more impressive were all the elk in the area. I mean in your face elk. We had to skirt around a few to get to our cabin. A girl at the ice cream shop said one brand new mother shooed her away when she tried to get... More

Its like walking on another planet... The place is crazy weird (I mean a natural beauty), its fun to see and very interesting walk. There are lots of trails to see and you can get up and close with the attraction.

A must-see. Even though very smelly, this place is almost enchanting. It seems this would be a boring sight, but rest assured, this place is great.
