Explore the hot geysers A trip to the United States of America is not complete without visiting Yellowstone National Park. Spread over 9000 square kilometres, the park extends into Idaho and Montana along with Wyoming. The whole of the national park is based around the Yellowstone Lake and Cradle, the largest active super volcano of the American continent. It houses... More

Visited this geyser basin late afternoon in January. The low angle sunlight was beautiful. Guide led us to Fountain Geyser just as it erupted. A memorable experience. Walked around the other hydrothermal features for over an hour. Worth every minute. An amazing and beautiful place, especially in winter.

Like all the other geyser bassins in Yellowstone this was is also very impressing. And just like everywhere the are many tourists. It doesn't matter what day, time or month you come it's always crowdy.

A clean cool stream enters this hot spot and exits with scalding water from the many mini-geysers. It is an easy loop but the start/end is a hike down/up hill. It is halfway between Old Faithful and Mammoth. You need two days to see all three locations and a full tank of gas. We took water with us but not... More

Parking was tight, but it was worth waiting for a spot. Absolutely stunning views of the geysers and hot springs!

I think the Norris Basin area was my favourite part of YNP. It is a vast area, and even though many people visit it, we are spread out along the boardwalk system and the number of geysers and other spectacles are carrying on all beside us. There are two parts to Norris, and both deserve a visit. Tip: go there... More

Love these beautful basins! They're lovely to view! Be sure to bring your camera! Sometimes you can feel the heat coming off of them.

There is not enough time to see and learn all that Yellowstone has to reveal to us. We enjoyed our stop here and here is why: You will see Geysers, Hot Springs, Fumaroles and Mudpots: All are active in this Basin. The variety provided gives you a greater understanding of the differences in what is happening here, right before our... More

My wife and I arrived at NGB around 8:00 in the morning, with temps at around 36 degrees, it was a unique experience with the hot steam mixing with the cold air to create an eerie walk along with boards around this area. I would highly recommend this during your trip to YNP.

It may not be the most spectacular, but I wouldn't miss it. There are great overlooks of what is a very otherworldly environment. And the colors are different than elsewhere. It's larger than you expect and you will have to walk, down and up.
