There are many viewpoints on each side of the canyon/falls that have beautiful views but this point is the best viewpoint around and can also view downstream from same point which is equally beautiful. Many fotos and paintings originate here

I'd not known much about the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone before I visited the first time, but was awestruck, particularly with the yellow rock formations and spires and the view of the falls in the back. I returned a year later and stayed even longer, I was so mesmerized. I was there during shoulder season, so the crowds were not... More

We loved catching this in the morning fog and then again after hiking uncle toms trail once it had burned away. Worth the return trip for sure.

THis is another hike down, rather a very long staircase, Kind of scary but you can see most of the view from the top and save the walk back up. Best on a day that creates the rainbow in the mist - go early on a sunny day to see it best

As you walk to Artist's Point you see the yellow rock formations of the Yellowstone River. The height and colors of the stony peaks are impressive. You also can look back up the river and see the falls you were standing over on a previous stop.

Yellowstone National Park has so many beautiful places like this. This place is so named maybe it is a good place for artists? The fall looked very good!

Amazing colours and that is why it's called Artist Point. We got here late in the evening. Had to walk down 400 plus steps to see it. It was worth it Such a beautiful view; and picture taking opportunities is fantastic.

The first sunny day in the park go and see this attraction. It takes some getting to: make sure you are prepared with sunscreen and a hat as well as comfortable walking shoes. It is definitely worth the hike though, the colors are truly amazing.

One of the must see places in the park. Beautiful view and photos of the falls in the Yellowstone canyon. I am told if you come before 10 am you can catch a rainbow in the falls mist.

We all know Yellowstone is beautiful That goes without saying. If you go there, be sure to visit Artist Point. From there you can see a beautiful waterfall some ways away. But right in front of you, are sandstone (I think) formations with amazing patterns that look very much like a painting, specifically, a Chinese painting. It is the most... More
