This view of the falls and surrounding rock is one of a kind. Words and pictures can't really do it justice. It's one of three places to get a really good view of the waterfalls. This is reportedly the spot where Thomas Moran drew a...More

To me this was the best site of Yellowstone. The view is unbelievable. Be sure to bring a camera that can zoom if you only go to the viewing area. During busy times, parking is a hassle so go early. Try to hike around the...More

This is the best place to view the lower falls. The view of the canyon and the falls is simply breathtaking! There's plenty of parking. If you can time it in between tour buses, it's much less crowded and you can enjoy the view.

My wife is an artist so we stopped to check it out. I can definitely see why they named this Artist Point. It is a great place to paint or photograph.

Artist point was really nice. Only 4 stars because there was no rainbow. I still recommend you go because the view is still amazing.

It felt as if I fell into a painting. Quintessential Yellowstone! Even in May, it was flooded with tourists. Definitely a "must see"!

We went to this spot twice since we enjoyed it so much. In my opinion this is the most beautiful spot in the park. It is a view of the waterfall in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone that is often represented in paintings - thus...More

I arrived at Artist Point right behind 3 tour buses. I held back for about 20 minutes as they were heading back to their buses. It was worth the wait for a quiet, peaceful visit. The view looked like a painting at every view point....More

I was able to manage it on a broken foot using a cane - assuming you get a nearby park (and there was plenty of parking available when I visited but I was visiting very early in the season) there should not be an issue. If... More
