Biking in Yosemite was for us a bit disappointing. We rented bike at half dome village and the renting service was good, staff friendly and helpful. Lanes are flat so biking was very easy for our 9 and 11 years old kids. However most of...More

We would recommend renting bikes in the park and exploring the valley loop. The bikes are cruisers with comfortable seats. This is not a road bike experience. It’s a nice easy stroll, and you can see many parts of the valley. We stopped and hiked...More

We rented bikes at half dome village to escape to Mirror Lake. It was great! We biked to Mirror Lake (which is so pretty) and all around half dome and some of the valley. They are beach bikes, so not hard to use at all....More

We rented bikes for a half day and biked around the valley. What a great way to tour the valley. It was easy way to get to the different trail heads and not have to fight traffic. While some of the trail was in the...More

Soon after we adjusted to the old style beach-cruisers, we pedaled our way around most of the Valley with ease. I've been here a lot but never enjoyed like I did on a bike. My family and I took our time, picked up speed when...More

Despite the detours, taking a bike ride around the valley is the best way to see everything. Everywhere you look there are waterfalls, the Merced River, iconic mountains, etc. It's all pretty flat and easy riding, too. Much better than waiting for over-crowded shuttles!

Depending on your time in the park, hiring a bike is a really good thing to do. It's a great introduction to Yosemite, giving you a quick, but absorbing overview. Cycling gives you the best of two worlds - covering the valley floor at a...More

Hi I suggest that you contact the bike rentals directly. The closure date is usually some time in the fall, but I don't know if the new concessionaire has set that date. Maybe try the Tour Desk phone number... More

The rental bikes are only allowed on the bike trail in flat Yosemite Valley. I think the trail is about 12 miles long. The website for the concessionaire lists these prices: $12.00 by the hour $34.00 by the day
