    Be Prepared for the Crowds
We visited Yosemite during a family vacation through the Pacific Northwest. This was the park I was most looking forward to, but it ended up not even being in my top two favorite. Don't get me wrong, Yosemite Falls was beautiful and definitely worth the trip. You can make an amazing family photo in front of the falls. If you walk on the bridge in front of the falls, you will feel the mist from the water. Hold on to your hat because it will get blown off. The crowds at the park made it hard to enjoy it. It reminded us of Diseny World. Parking is a nightmare. Once you park, you really can't leave because you'll never find another spot. So, you must use their bus system. When we were there, they were only running what looked like 2 buses. 2 buses for thousands of people. We had to wait forever to get on the bus. The bus just makes a circle, so it can take forever to get from one place to the next. We ate lunch at Degnan's Deli and it was very good. We had to wait in line for a little bit, but it wasn't terrible. We walked to the gift shop that was close to Degnan's, but it was so crowded we didn't stay long. I am glad that we went, but I am not sure we would ever go back because of the crowds.

    Beautiful
Absolutely gorgeous scenery at every turn. This is a can’t miss!!! Note that traffic is pretty bad on the weekends - we noted a big difference between a Friday visit and Saturday visit. Go anyway. Entrance is $35 per car.

    Beautiful national park
This is a superb national park that must be on your bucket list. The views are awe inspiring and helps one better appreciate God's creations. We took three days to scope out all of the best sites and couldn't have been more pleased.

Two days moderate trip for Yosemite
We embarked on this adventure in our early 50s, and what a whirlwind of a trip it turned out to be! Two days of excitement, exploration, and great memorable moments in life. Our first day we drove from West gate and was all about hiking on the Four-Mile Trail, which, given our not-so-friendly knees, took us a solid 2 hours to get to Union Point and another 2 hours to reach Glacier Point. Slow and steady wins the race, right? On the second day, we drove from East gate and all about the May Lake and the grand finale at Mount Hoffmann. It took us nearly 4 hours to conquer the peak, and the view was breathtaking, but let's be honest, Glacier Point's view was so fabulous it should be in the dictionary under "gogrious"!

The Most Beautiful Place in the World
Words can't possibly do this place justice. The most beautiful place in the world and a must see if you get the chance. We unfortunately only had about 4 hours to spend here. You could easily spend 3 to 5 days in this National Park alone. We were excited to see Bridalveil and Yosemite Falls. While we were there Yosemite Falls was at a near trickle. The road into Yosemite can be a bit scary if you aren't use to driving steep mountain roads with no guardrails, but take it slow and you'll be fine. Amazing views through the entire National Park.

    A family trip
The mother and father and one daughter making a trip into the USA to stay at a place we had only read about before. Impressive landscape and forest, swim in the river, drive around for half an hour looking at the sights. To watch the climbers or swim in a river - superb.

Colossal Beauty of Yosemite National Park
Vast mountains, with lush green forests and breathtaking waterfalls, create an awe-inspiring ambiance, reminding you of your humble existence amidst the grandeur of nature. Yosemite National Park evoked such feelings within us. We had the opportunity to visit one of the most magnificent National Parks in the United States: Yosemite National Park, located in the state of California. Spanning 759,620 acres and managed by the National Park Service, Yosemite was designated a World Heritage Site in 1984. It is internationally renowned for its granite cliffs, majestic waterfalls, crystal-clear streams, towering sequoia groves, pristine lakes, rugged mountains, expansive meadows, ancient glaciers, and rich biological diversity. We spent an entire day driving and exploring the park, yet it was evident that one day was simply not enough to cover all of its highlights. Yosemite National Park is truly immense, with every corner boasting colossal beauty. We just wish we had more time, so we could simply sit beneath the trees and gaze at the granite cliffs that seemed to cast a spell on us. It's no surprise that Yosemite has become one of the most sought-after destinations for travelers from around the world. Our time in Yosemite National Park was simply unforgettable, and we're already eager to return.

Is there a rating above 5 stars?
Who can give this earthly treasure anything but five oohs and aahs? I guess I could complain about the other tourists, but my first view of El Capitan left me speechless. Take your time to drive and walk and watch what John Muir called the "range of light." There's nothing like it anyplace else in the world. Spectacular.

    Spectacular
Yosemite is one of those places that you must see at least once in your life. The views are incredible but also something about the way the light plays on the rocks is magical. Keep in mind that during busy season you will need reservations to enter the park on weekends and if you are driving, not taking the park shuttle be sure to get there early as parking is a issue for almost every spot.

    Yosemite @ Springtime
I believe one of the most spectacular and beautiful places on earth. Going at springtime when the waterfalls are flowing everywhere you look is mind-blowing. Water, Water everywhere. Everyone, who can, should visit at least once. Stayed in a tent cabin at Curry Village, which was decent but tents are crowded together with no shade or picnic tables. Tents are decent for sleeping but not much else, but then you really want to be outdoors as much as possible. Many international visitors, wonderful to see folks getting along and escape the animosity facing much of the world right now. Plenty of accommodations for people in wheelchairs. Go for the beauty not the food.

You would think that this would be a GREAT visit. But it was terrible. Apparently, you have to have a reservation to get INTO a national park. Coming from out of state, we had no idea that we would need a reservation!! We drove all the way up to the gate where they have a little sign stating "have your reservation and ID" available. Ummm - you couldn't put this sign further down the mountain? Like an hour away? So we drove all the way out here and....? We received a pass to drive through but were told we could not "recreate" in the park. "Don't get out to take a picture." Don't "dip your toes in the water." Don't.....!!!!! Did you know there are 1,200 square miles in this national forest? But you can't get out to take a picture? Ridiculous! You would think this would be a great experience, but I really don't recommend it during COVID times......

Yosemite is a place of amazing natural beauty! The scenic drive is incredible and breathtaking views/vistas are here a plenty! Just a few things to bear in mind though are the park can be very busy, congested and internet service is spotty. We wanted to see some of the Sequoia trees but you need to hike a mile or so off the main drive which we did not have time to do. What did see was truly amazing!

We were here in June 2024. We spent several days hiking in Yosemite. The line to get into the park can take you an hour or more to get through. The trails were well marked and fun to hike. The scenery was simply beautiful. In mid-June there is still plenty of water flowing and the waterfalls were beautiful. This national park can be very crowded. Shuttle bus service does help but comes with its own issues of long waits and packed buses. The only negative we had was the hike to Mirror Lake. A two mile hike each way and the view was not worth the effort or time that it took. It is a beautiful park that most people will enjoy.

When we went here it could have been the best time ever or the worst time ever. Best time is that with all the snow they got this year, the waterfalls were spectacular! The worst time was with all the snow they got this year, there were a lot of flooding and places and road closed. It was NOT one of the best national parks I have been to. It is very confusing getting around, finding places, and knowing what you are looking at as the signage at the park is horrible if at all. If you can find the Visitor's Center, you need to walk to Yellowstone Falls from there as there is not parking at the falls. It was roped off. Bridal Veil Falls was fantastic and probably the first falls you come to as there is no signs. The best view is Tunnel View if you can find it. We almost missed it but figured we would go out the south exit and stumbled onto it. The is a parking lot there and you can see Bridal Veil Falls, El Capitan, and Half Dome from there and it is a great view. The map they give you does not really help you get to places either as it is not a good map. All in all it was well worth the frustrating trip around as you will see remarkable stuff.

BEAUTIFUL. I'd been before (35 years ago) and forgotten just why people come from all over the country (or world) to see it. It was supposedly a down time of year but I thought it was pretty crowded anyways. I'd hate to go in the summer. However, a few things were closed for renovation (but I'd checked the website in advance so no surprises). We mostly drove through what we could (had an older dog with us so no hiking).
