It's 1.2 miles to the summit for a 2.4 mile hike. It's an uphill trek to get there and the last 0.1 miles is going up the rock incline but not too difficult. The view is amazing. It's the second highest point in the park...More

Hiked up to Sentinel Dome and cannot describe the beauty and distance that you can see. I would consider this a moderate uphill hike on a well maintained clearly marked trail, last part of hike is hiking up the rock.

The hike to Sentinel Domeis is easy and rewarding. I could see the valley, the half dome and the waterfalls in the far. The ride to the trailhead is thrilling, as the road is right on the edge of the huge hills.

A less crowded trail that is a shorter trip by car than getting to Glacier Point and has pretty much the same spectacular views.

Moderate hike about 2 miles round trip. Wonderful 360 degree views of park. Unbelievable views. Family said a prayer at top of dome.

Just awesome. Just Awesome. Just Awesome. WaterFalls in summer are not much more than trickle, but Views are awesome in every area.

The trail is only 1.1 miles to reach Sentinel Dome from the trailhead. The climb up is worth the views.

Great hike! Fairly short, only steep at the dome itself, but the dome is easily done by doing a little sideways hiking...in my 60's with a fake hip but an avid hiker.... This is the wimps answer to hiking Half Dome! The view from the...More

This is another nice hike, not too long which was about 1.1 miles each way, the last section was a bit steep to get to the top of the dome but otherwise was fairly easy. The top had incredible views of several waterfalls and the...More

The trail start from the same point where, if you go left, you are heading to Taft Point while right gets you to the top of Sentinel Dome. Being on top of the dome was so cool. And the trail is not that hard to...More

There's a shuttle from Yosemite Village up to Glacier Point that will drop you off. There's a fee and you can book tickets ahead, I believe, from either Curry Village (Half Dome village as they call it now) or Yosemite... More

Yes, but you might be carrying her for some of the way, and need to hold her hand at the steeper parts. Good views without having to go up the very last steeper dome part. Need hats and sunscreen too, plus water.
