The vistor's center has a reasonable grill with outdoor seating, and the food was surprisingly good. Parking can get very interesting around lunch and dinner hours, so try early or later.

The georama display at the main hall was well made for you to see the national park with bird-eyes. They could talk about Yosemite's U-valley formation in more details.

So many people complaining about parking. What you need to do to get a parking place is get here at 0800! Plenty of spaces. We parked in the day lot next to the lodge. Take the shuttle for transportation. Find yourself at the visitor center....More

We stayed in El Portal on rt 140. Perfect location. Rented the only house in ElPortal right on the river. It was excellent.
