The mask museum is really interesting. The lady who showed us around was very knowledgeable. There was a fabulous display of very old masks. It is not big but well worth the visit.

We stopped off here en route, and didn't expect much. However the museum was wonderful with so many vibrant masks and a great explanation. We saw masked dancing in Kandy but seeing so many masks together was a real treat.

Good museum with explanations in english and guide taking visitors through. Helps understand some of the cultural roots of sri lanka and the masks themselves can be amazing. Shop is very expensive- has a wide selection.
