Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Flea market is a bit dated and overpriced. Most of the stall holders won't negotiate price for their poor quality products. The food outlets are ok but watch for food handling problems.worth a look mainly because there is not much else in the area.

This market is a lot smaller than it"s close neighbor Biang Niang it is about 1 KM. further north up the main road but is open on the evenings when B.N. is closed. It has a mix of tourist stalls and eating places as well as stalls selling fresh fruits and veg.If you are looking for fresh fruit and veg this market more stalls selling them than B.N. but some of the stall holders will try and overcharge knowing you are a tourist, but will haggle. Not as good as Biang Niang but a good option on the days it is not open.

The 'Build Market' is located a located about 500 metres further up from Biang Niang market and is on 3 nights a week from around 4pm to about 7pm. Here, the prices are the same for locals and tourists, and whilst smaller than the BN market, it offers a vast array of food, fresh produce and cheap clothing. It was here that I had my best meal of all (in 16 days) from a lovely lady who makes 'warm noodle salads' consisting of a mixture of noodles, herbs, chilli, seafood, processed meat bits, mushrooms...whatever you want...all for a ridiculous 50THB. She is careful to check in with you to make sure you don't have allergies to seafood, omits the MSG, and adds chilli to taste. This was an explosion of taste and texture that I will never forget. Be sure to tip the chef!

The market consist of 3 sections.
1) Local local streetfood. Awesome some things you can eat straight away others are so fresh you need to cook them at a kitchen.
2) Some containers / maybe 50 or so with different more touristic items, like awesome food, local goods etc.
3) great flea market in the back with everything from cloth, groceries to fresh food and fruit.
Opening hours unknown; we were there Sunday afternoon but i think it is open 3 times a week.

Fun market in the Old town of Takuapa. It's not very big but a lot of nice street food and fun things to try. Love the atmosphere and not so many tourists.

Went here late Sunday arvo and loved it. Heaps of freshly cooked bits and pieces and oh so tasty. Cheapest and best variety around. Actually got one of the best mojitos for 60baht ($3 aus) I've had over here and we've tried heaps. And seriously, treat yourself and try the 'expensive' pork belly for 120 baht or 6 bucks that they cook in the big barrels. Best I've ever tasted and once again I've tried heaps. Only complaint is I couldn't get back there to try the ribs due to tours and daughters birthday (where I had to eat the resort buffet). If only I had 1 more day. BTW open late arvos (around 3pm) Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Enjoy

Great to experience how the local buy their food and stuff. Anything you Can find here. Very local and non-tourisme place.
Street food that looks strange and non-appetized.
It took US one hour to get around. It's quite a small market.

A very good market, both tourists and locals shop here.Hence the prices are the same regardless.
Its around 500m away from bang niang market.
The price is lower than bang niang market for both food and everything else. 2-3hrs is average time we spent at this flea market.
We have always gone there at or after 5pm so i dont really know their opening times. However business is conducted on sunday, tuesday and friday.
There are lots of tables to sit and enjoy your meals.
Amazing!
