It was a real surprise to discover the old citadel. Little alleys, lots of shops and restaurant that serve local food. Eating breakfast on a balcony on top of the cliffs: clear sea, the breeze... so relaxing and enjoyning

I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as we did, but the Citadel was beautiful, we loved walking through, exploring all the streets and we even found the most amazing playground for our toddler to play on. Which is a rarity in Corsica.

A beautiful place to enjoy a meal! Spoilt for choice with loads of restaurants catering for all, from fast food burgers to fancy sit down haute cuisine places. Prices are somewhat inflated but that's to be expected with the type of tourist destination. The city...More

The citadel must be explored. A sailor cemetery has a very particular beautiful atmosphere. In the "high City" also Restaurants can be explored.

Huge citadel with amazing views of the ocean. In summer weather, one must take a hat to walk around!

There was a long line of traffic in the heat in the short drive to the Citadel from our hotel. There was a long walk from the carpark to the Citadel when we finally found one. Shops in Corsica are limited and I found them...More

I would suggest driving to the top of the town and parking next to the cemetery and then wander down through the beautiful old narrow streets filled with charm. There are numerous restaurants , churches and different things to see

Not sure if I'm too late, we've just returned from Bonifacio, we were there for 5 days and loved it. We drove to Porto Vecchio, it took approx 50 minutes. It's an easy drive and the roads are good. You can park in one of the... More
