Newly built and renovated museum-building. Partly the remainders of a historical house. Fishery-industry and the living in the 19th century.

staff charming and very helpful in my search for family history displays very good and infomative only downside all in dutch so you may need the help of a guide

Nice little place in a nice town but nothing on display is in English. Very clean place and interesting if you have a friend who can read dutch.

A newly opened museum about the fascinating maritime history of Vlaardingen. English translation would be helpful but the staff were very knowledgeable and helped us out.

The museum has just reopened (Spring 2015) after extensive renovations which integrated the former warehouses of a fish trading company. The collection is interesting but deals with very local issues. There are some style rooms and the history of the once large local fishing industry is shown. Most interesting is the history of the area long before the Romans came.... More
