Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Zimbros coastal trail is within the municipal park that bears that name. At this moment it is one of the few places that remain virgin.
The trail has an extension of 8 kilometers from the beginning which is at the end of Zimbros beach rua Rio Piratini to Vermelha beach. If you are going to go to the ruins or to the cachoeira de praia triste there are more kilometers to travel. I suggest you leave very early at 7 in the morning. Bring sneakers, repellent, and a backpack with water, energy bar, or energy-giving food. Bring a first aid kit and stay on the trails. If you don't know where to go, stay there, ask or come back. The trail passes through 10 beaches. Cardoso, Basilio, Deserta, Mosquito, Pasto, Herminio, Mauri, da Santa, Triste, Vermelha. To go to the cachoeira de praia triste you must climb the morro. Requires good physical condition. It's worth it . I went with my 8 year old son. We left early and had lunch at the cachoeira. We returned almost dark. Bring a flashlight because the trail is closed in some sections. In October I do not suggest going, it is the time when the canaina lays eggs and is very aggressive. The canaina is a viper up to 2 meters long that bites but has no poison. And in summer it is very hot and full of drunks, who are like mosquitoes that seem to bite. If it rains a lot it is not enough to go either. If you go to the archaeological ruins it is a house or parts of what it was...you pass by and there is another small cachoeira. But nothing to do with praia triste. It's worth going. They don't allow you to camp.

Quiet and marked trail. We did from the beginning in Zimbros to the Triste Beach Waterfall, passing through several beaches with areas shaded by trees (the waterfall section was the only one with the steepest and hardest parts). On the beach Triste has a river has a Lithic Workshop (with some stones preserved where it is possible to see traces of activities of ancient Sambaquis communities of the region).
We took a dog, but it is very important not to let go of the guide because we found some lizards along the trail.
None of the beaches have establishment.

Recomendo.

Vale a penaaaaaa!!!
