We went on the tour to Mou Waho with Steve, had an excellent time. We enjoyed his passion for the environment and sharing that with the customers. He treated us to some great stories and even taught everyone a little about how to create cool panorama shots on our cell phones. We were very sorry that the weather prevented us... More

Great half-day trip. There's a lake at the top of the island. We had wonderful weather. The views were fabulous, the cruise enjoyable. Best of all was learning about and seeing the birds and the conservation work they are doing. It was a hard uphill hike and some loaner hiking sticks would have been helpful, but a superb trip! Highly... More

The founder & operator, Chris, is just passionate about the area & its environment. His knowledge & delivery of that is entertaining & outstanding as well as being so friendly & welcoming. Mou Waho Island & Wanaka are beautiful places & these tours really showcase them perfectly.

Sorry, i don't eat the big fat HUHU grubs raw - I leave that to the Wekas to do, or pass on to the little jet black chicks as there are heaps hatched out at the moment, sooo cute! at least 6 sets of chicks on the way up the island in their territories, at the moment Wally & Sally... More

We did the Moa Waho Island walk with Chris it was wonderful. Our five year old son enjoyed the experience immensely. The scenery was breathtaking on a beautiful sunny day and the local wildlife encounters were a treat. Many thanks to Chris for a wonderful family adventure!

Children LOVE this "Treasure Island" of nature, we really get a kick out of reconnecting kids with the natural world. Educating them that living lizards, bugs and birds are not all dangerous and scarey - We encourage the kids to interact with the animals, some in a tactile way, as their minds are like sponges absorbing information and learning at... Mou Waho island is a very special place environmentally, and for its scenery, plants, animal and bird life. With only two of us as guests plus guide Chris, it was virtually a private tour and one of the high points of our 10 days in Wanaka.

If an individual really wants to see the magic that is Wanaka and the WQorld Heritage National Park, we can operate on the 2 person rate. Families or groups... More

We walked/hiked over a swinging bridge, through a rainforest, over trickling glacier melt, and scrambled over racks and boulders to get to Rob Roy Glacier. Nothing can compare to the blue in the ice of a glacier. We left around 9 am and didn't get back to the Wanaka residence until about 6:30 pm. Andy even "arranged" for a calving... More

Yes, at any time this hanging glacier can have small to enormous ice falls of iceberg proportions, crashing and tumbling explosively off the cliffs opposite our sunny, safe lunch spot. This is the most varied one day walk in NZ. And we get you to those secret perfect photo spots off the beaten track. Humbly may we point out that... More

We were fortunate to have a glorious day for our trip to Mou Waho Island and would highly recommend this to both tourists and kiwi visitors. Chris is a seasoned guide that delivers beyond expectations meeting the needs of a mixed group with expertise. The best view in town!
