Clive took us on a very informative tour of the World of Deer Museum. His knowledge of the deer industry is outstanding and we found it so interesting. He is very friendly and works through the display at a comfortable pace, allowing questions along the way. The antlers are well displayed with information plaques below them. The store has some beautiful antler carvings, skins, knives, antlers, jewellery, etc. He also sells natural remedies, health products (deer velvet, deer sinew, etc.) and beauty products. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Wanaka. If you attend Warbirds Over Wanaka, it is right next door. We were in the South Island for a week and I ate New Zealand Venison every night. While vacationing in Wanaka, we had the good fortune to come upon the World of Deer Museum. Clive, our guide, was very friendly and down-to-earth but also very informative, both from the standpoint of establishing deer farms and also relative to the medicinal uses of antler velvet. We highly recommend a visit to this very worthwhile museum.…
