We walked along the shore, snapped That Wanaka Tree, took photos from the surrounding mountains and generally enjoyed our proximity to the lake for a week.

There are many water activities here. Big lake like the usual lakes in New Zealand. There is children playground next to it.

Recently visited Wanaka and absolutely loved the view out over Lake Wanaka. Lake Wanaka is a lovely place, with the snowy mountain backdrops its truly amazing. Reminded me of Switzerland a bit.

At peace here at this lake WE love it. When there is no breeze it is bliss. Much better than queenstown.

Absolutely beautiful. Adorable little town. Had all of the same adventure activities as Queenstown but way less tourists.
