Bizarre buildings, rooms of illusions and our famous maze will baffle your brain and challenge your perceptions of reality. A great museum that plays tricks with the mind. The Maze is tricky meaning that a 45mins - 1hr is taken just trying to get through the maze. It's an excellent family team playing exercise and lots of fun. The illusion rooms can make you feel dizzy but are worth exploring, as the illusions are fantastic. It is a good... More

The tilted room really messes with you! This was a lot of fun! I got lost multiple times in the outdoor maze. The indoor illusions really mess with your sense of reality. Such a cool building and attraction.

Fun place and not just for KIDS. Has a major maze with a sign or two NOT to spoil the experience for others by calling out the solutions! There are several interesting experiences to be had in the rooms which demonstrate special optical and other illusions. GO SEE.

If you are the kind of person who likes puzzles or MC Escher, then it is worth the trip. If it were pouring rain the maze would probably not be fun.

We stopped here on our way from the West coast to Queenstown and I am so glad we did. We did the Great Maze and had an absolute blast! Well set up, challenging and a great way to stretch (or run) your legs when you've been driving around the countryside. Recommend racing your travel companions around the maze, so much... More

It was a busy day when we got there, but it was all well organised and the people there kept things clean and tidy. The café is expensive, but really nice, healthy sandwiches and kids' lunchboxes. The people who worked there were also good at helping kids with the puzzles.

We were on our way from Franz Josef to Queenstown when we saw this in Wanaka and decided to stop. Good decision! Lot of really fun and interactive displays and rooms. The very first room is one where the walls and the floors are all built at completely unexpected angles! This causes one to lose orientation, so you feel like... More

There isn't a whole lot to do, but the things they have set up are all fun and a little weird; perfect for us!

Did not think my teenagers would enjoyed it but they had a blast. Caters for all ages and also ads a bit of education
