Beautiful ashram for seeking mental peace and spiritual guidance. They have book shops, canteen and various other establishments inside for devotees as well as visitors! Food n stay is free for devotees at this place except you need to contact prior to arrival and canteens are chargeable. Environment is clean and large enough for large crowds. Ganga river is 10 mins walk from ashram. Hotels are near by incase u dont wanna stay at ashram. 30 mins ride to rishikesh from this ashram as its on dehradun rishkesh highway.

A really nice place, a must visit for everyone to get positive vibes and peace in their lives. Very calm and enchanting. And adjoining dev Sankriti Vishvidhalya, is really making Indian culture strong. When you will enter vishwavidhayalya, you will get positive vibes from every aspect. Organic and healthy foods for students, students rehearsing in parks with instruments. These students are really blessed that these got a chance study in such places. They got blessing of mighty gurudev with world class facilities.

Its far from Har ki puri but good place to stay, cool and calm. They have facility and arrangement to do pind dan with complete process. They do one at 5:00 am and another at 8;00am. Stay is free. They have rooms with mutliple stays in one room. Ladies and gents stay are separate.

We visited Shanti Kunj as a tourist during our stay in Haridwar and it was a nice experience. Tourists need to register at the entrance and obtain permit to enter the Shanti Kunj ashram complex. Once inside we were greeted by lot of greenery - well maintained and clean place decorated with flower pots. There was a big hall where people can sit and meditate. There was a large store selling books and various other artifacts. Visited a small nursery with wide variety of plants. One can sit and enjoy food also during lunch time.
This place is the headquarters of the spiritual and social organisation All World Gayatri Pariwar and has emerged over the years as a center of the global movement for moral-spiritual regeneration in the light of Indian heritage.

This is the place to be if you want to do any religious ceremony. You can actually call them the Walmart of Religious Ceremonies. They do everything - from Weddings to Sanskars, from Yagyas to Shuddhis.

To top it all, one can stay in the Ashram for almost no charges at all. On one hand, Haridwar is full of goons who would loot your money given one opportunity, this is the other extreme - noone forces you to do anything. You can donate whatever you feel like.

But, the only part where they lack is the food. I haven't had worse food than what this Ashram provides. The food is not just bad in taste, but it is also made in very bad oil. You are sure to get stomach upset the next day! So, if you are going here and staying in the Ashram, make sure that you arrange for your own food.

ShantI Kunj is one of theach place where you can perform sanskar starting from annaprashan , mundan, upnayan (janeu), marriage (Hindu riti se )and all others. The beauty is that one has not to arrange or bring any material required in pooja. Priest as well as other things are available readily. For stay good accommodation and canteen facility are available and that too at a reasonable price.

shanti kunj is the best place for all 16 sanskaar which preform in a human life. me and my family go there for mundan sanskaar of my 7 month old little son.during the sanskaar. the best thing is no extra money is spend. the charges are very nominal almost free. my expanse was only 60. the 40 rs. is for bunch of books related to mundan sanskaar (it includes 3 books and 2 CDs. this is not mandatory to purchase) and 20 Rs is for barber who do the mundan. and shantikunj also provide free of cost accommodation and food for 2-3 days.

it is a best place and you feel very spiritual .
