Anticipated Mass

The cathedral is old and badly needs some restoration. There are several masses in many languages. It is very near Rizal Boulevard for some night life.

Grandiose and one of the old churches made of stones. Gate Entrance is lined with life size statue of saints.

Exploring the Philippines, you get to experience church saturation. This church is one of the churches along the commercial district. Light a candle and make a wish for first time visitor.

The Cathedral has the Belfry beside it. Lots of people went for Mass. It was announced that they will start renovating the church, as it is one of the oldest church in the area.

The church has good architecture and a well planned beautification. It is one of the oldest parish in Negros Oriental and beside it stands Dumaguete Belfry. The most beautiful church in Dumaguete City...

We popped by as we were n the neighbourhood, but definitely wouldn't have made a trip for this. The outside looks relatively pretty, but the entrance is swarmed by beggars and cripples. We had a look inside, but the inside was not much to talk about, ruined by this weird obsession with neon lighting.

You can visit the old belltower which used to be a watch tower for pirate raids. The Cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of the Diocese of Dumaguete. The downside is the traffic outside the Church. Nonetheless, you can still enjoy peace inside the church.

Glorious cathedral with definite Philippine sensibility amongst the usual Catholic extravaganza. Palm Sunday mass overflowing, even the patios. Palpable devotion.

Churches in Visayas are very beautiful because they were able to preserve the interiors and structure of their churches. the church is very accessible through public transportation.

We visited in the afternoon and witnessed a church wedding. We felt we were intruding but I am sure the couple did not mind. Since we wanted a quiet place to pray, we went to the small chapel beside the main altar. People there prayed in silence. After that we went outside for reflexology. Those who provided the service were... More
