Nice view from the top, well-maintained interior and a beautiful wooden altar. A must see when you visit the city, but you should visit the other old churches too

as regard axternal design absolutely unique around the world, great look from the tower, unfortunately back part behind the church closed, the same pays for inner space which you can see through the glass door , sporadically open when a worship

This is the most beautiful historical architecture in Louny. The church has the largest wooden altar in central Europe and it's beautifully carved. Go to the church tower to have a nice view of the city.

Church of St. Nicholas in Louny was created by building works of B.Ried, last modification made J.Mocker and K.Hilbert. B.Ried was court architect of Prague Castle (late Gothic), two other architects finishing St.Vitus Cathedral at Prague Castle (neo-Gothic).

Nice, beautiful church. Especially the wood-carved altar is remarkable. Overall, the church gives a very dark atmosphere. The tower was closed for reconstruction, so I couldn't go up there. Apart from that, a church like any other in the Czech countryside.
