Enjoyed our visit to the museum and enjoyed tasting the wine!
We were in Menerbes celebrating our 80th and 70th birthdays.
We walked from the Village which was farther than we expected.
After we toured the museum, bought some wine and souvenirs one of the
employees ( a very kind Lady) drove us back to the Village!

Four of us traveling in Provence for a week had lunch in Coustellet (another review) and our waiter suggested La Citadelle’s rose, when we said we wanted one with fruit and heft. We ordered it and loved it. When we told him that we planned on stopping by the winery for a tasting he said to ask for Genevieve, since he used to work with her at La Citadelle. When we arrived we mentioned her name, and she came out to handle our tasting. She was engaging, knowledgeable, fun, and her English was very good. We enjoyed their rose, white and red offerings enough to buy some of each to have in the evenings in our villa during the rest of our stay in Provence. For the quality, which is quite good, the wine was very reasonably priced. We also spent a few minutes wandering in their corkscrew museum, which is an interesting brief diversion.

While touring the area, our group of two Canadian couples decide to do some wine tasting at the Citadelle, based on the recommendation of a friend who had visited the facility several years earlier.

The wine we tasted was exceptional and prompted us to purchase several bottles for later enjoyment.

The tour of the corkscrew museum which is an integral component of the facility, was absolutely fascinating - displaying corkscrews from different eras and different countries around the world!

A “must visit” when in this part of France!

Very good wine, nice tasting room in beautiful area - the town is the basis for Peter Mayall’s book Year in Provence.

Enjoyed our visit. An intern was friendly, spoke good English, and explained several wines including an excellent rose and decent reds. After tasting several wines, we each got a glass of wine for 2.5 euro and walked around the vineyard, museum, and gardens.

Our group of 12 adults visited the Domaine de la Citadelle & had a wonderful time. The botanical garden was fascinating, as was (to our surprise) the corkscrew museum. The wine tasting was fun & informative and the wine itself delicious!
We’ve had such a warm welcome each time we’ve visited. And we’ll be back again soon!

We enjoyed our wine tasting here. The server was friendly, spoke excellent English and had a great sense of humor. Be sure to visit the Corkscrew Museum, which is part of this winery. There are hundreds of corkscrews and many are antique (150+ years old). There is also a lovely gift shop.

We tasted wines around the world and found what our plates like, it’s usually not French wine. However we were driving down the road and saw the Château and decided to stop for a taste.
Beautiful Château and a great experience, the wine is delicious!
The red in particular was spectacular! Which is unusual for this far south!
Bought a couple bottles for dinner! Prices are fair!
Highly recommend!

The wines are decent--nothing too fancy. The vineyard looks spectacular against the background. The person doing the tasting was semi-friendly.
