Do yourself a favour and visit this place! You will see the whole history of Ermoupolis' bourgeoisie unfolding in front of your eyes! Just 30 minutes there can explain why Syros is so different from all other islands of the Cyclades.

This building is well worth a visit if you ever find yourself on Syros. It was built over 150 years ago in the style of La Scala but on a smaller scale and it has recently been renovated to its original condition. It is beautiful....More

For just 2 euro you can wander through the theatre. It is not as big as some other European theatres but interesting nevertheless. On the third floor there is a small museum of writers, actors and actresses, etc. who have made their mark on Syros...More
