Many tourists were walking around with nothing to do for three hours in the middle of the September days. For this reason, open a bit longer, the churches of this tiny town may give you something to do. This Rococo 1747 church is lovely. If you walk outside the town into the newer part, you may find open local style restaurants.

A very lovely church in the historic center of town. The interior is quite beautiful. Nice to visit such a lovely place and not have to pay to enter a place of worship. Just across the square is a small chapel that is quite charming. Not well marked.

A truly beautiful old church in the centre of Martina Franca. So nice to find the doors open & visitors welcomed inside to take a peep. An elaborate interior, stunning ceiling & dazzling white sandstone exterior.

Unlike many cathedrals that are plain or those that have dark interiors, this one was bright with some colourful paintings that were very interesting.

You can’t miss this location as like many Italian churches it’s very central. It’s definitely impressive. Sit for a while and look at all of the art work and the towering ceilings. Martina Franca is full of bell chimes, so you can’t get lost with all the bells striking.
