While there were lots (and I mean lots) of tourists (and newleyweds...what's with these Sicilians...there were more weddings than tourists!) , it is an absolutely amazing site. Bring your sneakers and your water bottle.

This is a very interesting site, and well worth a visit. the site unfortunately is not well maintained with quite a bit of garbage on the grounds but the ruins are still pretty amazing.

Interesting place, there are shuttles, but we decided to walk the entire area and even in the August heat we found it manageable. It is very cheap to enter, and the site is well maintained, and very easy to navigate. Wear comfortable walking shoes and...More

A great alternative for the much more tourist Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. Much cheaper and not less impressive, we were there almost alone.

Definitely worth a visit, if in August, go for golf carts to take you to lower acropolis. Purchase Two stops as you exit main ticket office (in wooden hut-6 euros each) the tickets are return and they give you a sticker so drivers know you...More

Nice temple rebuilt in the 50’s. others at the start are still the pile of rubble left after an earthquake. Didn’t go to second site but looks a fair trek. Might want to use the transport

Selinunte Archeological Park is the ruins of the part of the ancient city of Segesta. Selinus (modern Selinunte) is an ancient city on the southern coast of Sicily. It was founded by Megarian colonists in 628 BC. e. The name Selinunte is of Phoenician origin,...More

Loved it. It was much quieter than the valley of the temples at Agrigento, and there's just as much to see. Not only do you see the remains of five temples, but there's also the remains of the walled town that housed the estimated 30,000...More

If you are staying anywhere near this archaeological Park in Sicily it is an absolute must experience. We were traveling with two teenage boys, age 17 and 16 and they were fascinated. Entrance to the park is relatively inexpensive but I strongly suggest that you...More

The site is astoundingly beautiful with the huge columns, the temples, the ruins lying across the fields and the views of the water. You can actually walk through the temples, stepping back in time in awe of how they were... More
