Our family enjoyed exploring the castle and the grounds. The views are amazing and seeing a draw bridge was fun. We highly recommend a visit.

We really enjoyed the beautiful and quiet city of Sarteano and exploring the castle. The castle is very well maintained. They had iPods playing pleasant music to add to the ambiance. It was fun to climb steps up and see interior rooms. The views outside...More

A quick 10 minute walk to the castle from the centre of town with nice views and a park where you can sit. Inside was lovely and cool with good information on each room. Particularly interesting were the private "en suite" toilets. You can get...More

The castle/fort has been restored and is quite sparse inside. However we were lucky to see a photographic exhibition which was taking place inside and was a great counterpoint to the architecture. Well worth a visit for the amazing views from the top.

I truly enjoyed this visit because the rooms were well preserved. Medieval sinks, toilets, fireplaces and graffiti (from 1504) was on display. I loved that they allow you to enter one of the defense towers, too!
