Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were in Asolo to visit Ristorante Due Mori (recommended by our landlady in Preganziol) and walking from the car park to the restaurant we found ourselves in Piazza Garibaldi. It turned out to be a surprising good historical Italian square, with the Duomo di Santa Maria Assunta and the Fontana Maggiore as highlights. This proves again, that you never can dismiss an Italian town, because every Italian town can have hidden treasures.

I have visited this location more than a dozen times. I come to the area for business, and while the canals of Venice or the Dolomite mountains are more traditional stops, Asolo always pulls me in and holds on to me until my return. The town is very charming, with quaint shops up and down the street. Stop at Ennio's for some of the best cheeses and cured meats in Italy. The cafe in the square is perfect for a morning or afternoon coffee, and the gelato is superb. Several restaurants line the surrounding streets, and each has something excellent to offer. Walk up the hill to the Albergo de Sol for an incredible terrace view dining experience, or down the hill to the Cipiriani for the best carpaccio in the region. This is one place that oozes old world charm, and will be one of my favorite stops until I can no longer travel.

This town is a gem and has this typical Italian flair. Very peaceful and quiet and has many eating places around the piazza. Interesting was also the one way entry and exit to the old town as the roads are to small for cars to pass.

This is a beautiful town brimming with vibrancy. Plenty of small shops and bars, wine tasting, and delightful small restaurants. The only downside is the noise from traffic and the usual noisy Italian scooters. The traffic is restricted at times but should be limited even more to preserve the unique character of this town.

Sit outside at any table in one of the many piazza restaurants, enjoy your dinner and drinks and watch the steady stream of elegant vehicles crawl past and not one damages another even in such close quarters!

We have been lucky enough to visit magnificent Asolo a few times and loved it every time until we tried to take our father of Italian heritage who has motor neuron disease and is wheelchair bound. It was ridiculous. I did not mind pushing him up the steep slopes but there was not one establishment where we could enter or sit down in. There were many wooden platforms and steps but not one ramp for us to take him into the cafe's,shops or castles/fortress. It was poor and extremely disappointing ant it will, unfortunately be his last visit to his home country.

A beautiful square surrounded by all the main monuments of the town. To the south is the Cathedral, southwest the castle, west the Villa Scotti Pasini and in the center the beautiful 16th century fountain with the Lion of St Mark at its top. Also all around nice palaces and cafes.

This is the consummate small midieval town situated in rural Veneto. This square sits at the center and is lined with wonderful cafes, restaurants, shops and the obvious church and treed park. Gorgeous!!! Take the time to wander around the small town--it is incredibly beautiful.
