Really don’t mean to sound negative because it is beautiful country and the scenery is pretty. I think with all the other hiking one could do in Norway this is at the bottom of my list. After the 3 prior days of major hiking we...More

Although it has been raining almost all day, this is a fantastic hike. It took us longer then the 5 hours announced on websites and in the information center, probably due to the very, very slippery trail while walking back to the valley. Coming down...More

The driving tour of the waterfalls was lovely. However, it was a little scary at times driving on the super narrow and winding roads!!!!!

Our most memorable hike from this part of Norway was to track along the river on a rainy gloomy June day and visit these stunning watefalls. Only an hour outdide Balestrand, its a must see.

A very doable hike for moderately experienced hikers with no technical skills (at least for the lower half of the path). It's more than a nature walk, make sure to have water, some snacks, good footwear, and raingear. Details. Take Rt 13 from Balestrand, headed...More

While we would have liked to hike, the weather was questionable; but the tourist info center advised we still go by driving; it was well worth the trip for both the waterfall and the new lookout platform that has an amazing view down on the...More
