Best to make a brief stop at the tourism office closeby before heading to the castle, as they provide some pamphlets on the castle and church. A walk around the castle walls is well worth it for the amazing views over the coast and for...More

We spent a lovey 1/2 hour up at the castle from which you can enjoy fantastic views and climb the walls. Santiago do Cacem is a beautiful town with a charming historic town.

Very cool to visit a cemetery inside a castle. The views from the walk around the castle were good. The drive up and down was narrow and exhilarating. Parking is limited.

During the night a walk around walls is highly recommended. Worth the visit! Nothing more than this.

Perfect view, nice building. Walking around the wall outside was nice, but it was even better when climbing on the wall. Only one warning, if travel in very hot time, make sure you have some cover with you.
