It is very interesting to see this special vegetation in combination with this island. So I can only advise you to go there and if you’re already there, you can follow the street along the mountain and visit the nearby Lagoa do Fogo which also...More

Very well preserved and maintained. The information center contains interesting information about volcanic activity and how the islands were formed. We opted for the nature walk only.

It is quite expensive. You have to pay 8€ per person. It is very beautiful and relaxing. Having a bath there you feel like in the middle of the jungle. It is good to go when it is raining.

The Park is huge with lots of trees and animals. The hot water pools are really nice and relaxing. You can change and have a quick bath in the end.

We were a bit disappointed: there so many people in the waterfall bath as well as in the smaller pools.

Set your expectations to a minor diversion, not a theme park, and it's lovely. Lots of tree ferns, smallish thermal pools in a lush setting. Full of people, but not unbearably so. Have a sit in a hot pool, enjoy the ferns and go.
